Can't wait you guys will be in for the suprise.:fight:

We'll see. BE is very familar with Bell. They camped together for several years.

Congratulations to BE. Good luck next week. I was hoping for a rematch of the 2005 Regional Quarterfinal game, but it was not to be.

Not the same type of Bell team you all seen at Camp. Bell has a few kids that have not played before on offense that are weapons. Plus Bell was mostly Soph's and Jr's last time BE saw them. All those kids now are men.

This is the first chance I have had to look at the stats. How in the world did Calloway's best player only run the ball 12 times? As I have stated the past few weeks, Calloway has a tendencey to get pass happy; thus, it negates their ability to control the clock especially with a defense with a lot of question marks.

Pretty simple. When you get down 2+ scores you can't "control the clock" with a running game. And, BE's pass defense was very suspect. Please note that Willis had 184 yards RECEIVING. They did get the ball in his hands quite a bit.

My point is he touched the ball 16 times (17 if you include the pass). In the 16 times he touched the ball, he averaged over 18 yards a play. He is without a doubt their best player. Feed him the rock. Do not pass unless you have to... even if it is against a suspect pass defense (Brockman 15-32-2, 345... anyone know of his status for college, btw?). I know BE was up 15+, but weren't a couple of their scores after INT throws? My feed was going in and out.

Also, congrats to the Lakers on an amazing season. They are losing a lot of special kids in this senior class that will be remembered.. :thumb:

I agree that Willis is the man and should get the majority of the touches. He may not have touched it enough, for sure, but they were trying to get him the ball. Remember, it's tough to totally load up on him on the ground when you're counting on him on the defensive side of the ball too.

Brockman stats I saw were 15 for 31, 6 TDs in air, 2 INTs, 1 rushing TD. BE was concentrating on Willis heavily. One INT was on Hail Mary at end of half with no score. One was a bad TO that ultimately led to a score. Brockman was playing with no feeling in two fingers on his throwing hand (still recovering from helmet to Funny Bone from a week earlier) - still a pretty good night. I hear he's getting solid interest from several IAAs and many D2s, lots of D3s, NAIAs.

Calloway's biggest mistake on the night was not getting Willis the ball at least once on the final possession. Brockman was playing great (especially considering the circumstances), but a dump or swing pass to Willis had to be called on that final drive. Even if BE had a guy on him, he would have gotten 5 more yds like he did the rest of the night after contact.
