  1. I think that you are overlooking the fact that the team needs to improve in every phase of the game. The D can't catch a break if the are consistantly having to take over when the O turns the ball over, throws interceptions, or doesn't get first downs. Unfortunately the D is never going to look good if they are on the field 80% of the night. The O has to step up so that the D isn't in a corner all night. So with that said I think that it is very important to look at every phase of the game and realize that everything needs improvement at this point
  2. Just curious but...what do you say at halftime in a situation like this?
  3. according to the radio guys we had no first downs and 18 plays and 8 yards gained with 5 mins left in the half. We got a first down shortly after that. There was a safety scored and at the half it is 43-0
  4. We have a lot of work to do on both sides of the ball. We know where we need to go let's just hope we get there. The silver lining for me is that we held them 4 times to just field goals instead of TDs. So it could have been worse. Keep your head up guys and keep trucking
  5. I was thinking the same things about the field goals. Like it or not we have held them to that . It counts for something right?
  6. Elder is punting on a 3 and out. Good job D!
  7. Oh my, what about that hit?! Is the 3rd string guy any good?
  8. And add in the fact that they can't mute their mikes....I say consider the source. Especially since everyone told us we might as well not show up tonight I would say it is pretty respectable. Plus the Defense a lot of times has to handle what the offense has given to them IE turnovers.
  9. Thanks for the updates. I have a MAC and can't get the streaming audio. Keep them coming.
  10. Here is an article on ESPN and there is also a video somewhere. It was Jeff Shepherd not Sexy Rexy and a few other details are off, but still a great story. http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=jackson/081209
  11. Calloway's biggest mistake on the night was not getting Willis the ball at least once on the final possession. Brockman was playing great (especially considering the circumstances), but a dump or swing pass to Willis had to be called on that final drive. Even if BE had a guy on him, he would have gotten 5 more yds like he did the rest of the night after contact.
