Saw where the Monroe kid had 8 on the varsity, did he play a lot of minutes? Do Pendleton County fans think he is better than Talbert Turner at this stage? Sounds like the Taylor kid is a player, does he see any varsity time?

At this point Monroe is avg 5 pts a game as he had a 3pter the other night in their opener and I heard almost hit a halfcourt shot at the end of the 1st qtr. This means he was in the game early and I am going to assume often. I know Coach Simms has high hopes for Monroe. Anytime a coach takes personal time to go watch one of his future players in an AAU state tournament I think he is counting highly on him. ONly an 8th grader as well .

Good luck today Wildcats.

Is that right? Wow. Has Pendleton played or won at Augusta of late?

He is more fundamentally sound at this stage and has a very high basketball IQ. Will he break Turner's scoring record? No!

Taylor has not seen alot of Varsity minutes yet.

I believe he scored two points last year on JV. But he may be the most improved player from last year.

If you consider that "of late".

What about last year at Augusta MC Papa?

Don't remember that game at all, didn't Augusta have a pretty good team that year. I know Pendleton was loaded, but still.

No. According to the Khsaa website, they went 4-21.

They beat Rose Hill by 7 and Nicholas by 10 at home.

They beat Nicholas by 1 in Carlisle, and won 1 game by forfiet over Monticello.

BTW, Nicholas Co. went 3-22 that year and Rose Hill was 3-21, so they weren't beating good teams.

A lot of Boys would play AAU all over the country if they could afford it. It would be nice & all teams could play more competitive.
