Seidel is what I call a Throwback kinda player. Does not really pass the look test, but boy when the ball goes up and they start keeping score he can play the game. I would take him on my side anytime.

He is rather thin, but he knows the game and plays with so much heart. Nothing flashy, but just gets the job done.:thumb:

I wasn't very impressed with Zollo, but maybe my expectations were a little seeing he is just a sophomore. Stenzel can flat out play. I thought coach Humphrey made a great move when he switched up his gaurds on seidel. The 27 - 1 run really put NL away.

Corey Rogers had a fine game last night also. Once the coach found the boys that could finish against the press ,we were ok . Williams and Hatton made some nice passes down court to where Stenzel , Rogers and Zollo could finish the play . Zollo will be a great asset to the team. It's a new situition for him and he is making that adjustment. He did some good things last night. Also ,I think Brewer will be a great help, being a good ball handler, passer and can shoot. It's just going to take a little time for the team to sync.

Very true. The first time I saw him I thought he looked like a 'book nerd', ... well, it turns out he is that smart, but he can play ball as well.

 

Zollo and Stenzel are special players for GRC. I can't imagine how good they will be in the next few years. Wow!

I totally agree with you about Zollo having to adjust and so does Brewer. They both have came from programs were they were the go to guy and knew the system well. Now kids like Brewer are having to relearn a system and their playing time has been cut from what their used to. Big adjustment in the humbling department. In the long run though it will pay off because of better coaching and better opportunity. Brewer played real well in the JV game. Seemed to be in command on the floor. Shoot the ball extremely well by knocking down four three's and hitting his free throws. Coach Humpfrey is doing the right thing with him I beleive. Playing JV right now is giving him playing time to adjust to the new system and his new teammates.
