Lakers or Patriots advance to state 4A Semifinals?

ACS 28

Calloway 24

Calloway 28-14

Calloway Co. 28-21.

I'll take Allen County by a touchdown.

Having seen both teams play Lone Oak, I think Calloway Co is a slightly better team. However, ACS is better defensively. It should be a dandy of a game, I wish I could see it. I'll say Calloway Co 28 ACS 27. ACS struggles with extra ponts which will haunt them the deeper they go in the playoffs.

If Calloway commits to running the ball, they have a good shot of winning. If they get pass happy (which sometimes they do), it will not be to their advantage.

Obviously the new alignment has helped these teams, but have either of these schools ever advanced to the Final 4 of the state?

Looks like Calloway has found their bread and butter with Willis rushing for an avg of 200 per game over the last 3 games. The Lakers are still throwing the ball, but only when they want to, which is what makes them so dangerous (Brockman has 2,900+ yards passing so far and 4-5 good targets). The Lakers score well either way. I don't think many teams in the state have a 6-2, 250 lb back that runs a 4.6/40, can still hurdle an oncoming DB, or level a LB.

Neither team has been to the final 4. This is as far as ACS has traveled and CC has been to the regional final one other time, 1996.

ACS has plenty of talent too. Should be a great game.

I am going to go with my boy Brad Hood leading the ACS Patriots to the semi-finals!! GO PATS!:ylsuper:

Whoa! Sounds like Micah Johnson when he was at Ft. Campbell!

Micah was a lot of fun to watch on both sides of the ball!!

I will also take Patriots by 8. They have a good bunch of kids and thier coach has really turned that program around!

I couldn't call this game if my life depended on it! Both teams are quality squads. Don't count out Calloway if they fall behind early. They have great resilience.
