This was really a 69-24 ball game, Campbellfield, for all intent and purpose. LCA put the JV out in the 3rd and Williamsburg left Moses, Lawson and Pettit and the rest out against them. 'Burg rolled some on the youngsters.

There were a lot of unsportsmanlikes on Williamsburg, especially in the second half.

This one got out of hand with about 4:30 left in the 2nd qtr.

 

Great season for Lynn Camp... Didnt Wagner score LC only TD against LCA in 4th quarter....#30 for LCA was playing in the 4th...against Wburg...sorry that LCamp has had players hurt..had 3 losing seasons..things havent gone well...It is what it is...privates have the advantage...Dave Mitchell, Jerry Herron, or Joe Blow could coach at private schools and win games...

This game was within a touchdown inside 5 minutes in the first half. What was the LCA Camper score at that point Daddy Cat? LCA is much better than Williamsburg or Lynn Camp. The public private issue was front and center in this game. It is very difficult for public class A football teams to put that many athletes on the field. Lynn Camp would not be able to add a kid from Hazard whose mother took a job in a county two counties away. He would be ineligible at a public school. LCA is a great team and a class bunch and I wish them good luck the remainder of the year.

What was it within at the half? 41-24. Ours was 51-0. Neither were really close at the half.

How many points did we give up and how many did you give up to them, noles? (Part of the 69 strikes me as odd, because the LCA JV never scored, but Rains is a WHS alumni and still did not call the dogs off 'til the 4th....)

 

We can compare this and that all day, but it is all the same in the end. We all have some work to do to even dream of cathching these programs. We would have scored maybe a couple more healthy, but the end result would have been the same.

 

Both games were already out of reach at the same point. Williamsburg moved the ball better than we did this year, and that was the real difference at the half in either game.

 

If LCA had had more time, they would have had 50 at the half against Y'all, too. They were starting to roll and did just that in the 2nd half.

Williamsburg was going to get their points. Their O is too good to not score some. I think I actually posted that this could be a close game early but would roll out late, whch it did. Jump on all you want, it does not matter.

Even the most die hard Jacket fan has to admit that the LCA pass coverage was horrible early, led to some scores and then was corrected and began to lock down the Offense until the young guys got in.

 

I was just pointing out that, to quote, "it is what it is" and the game was not tight. I never said that Wagner was not out there against the JV, either, but we did run our JV against theirs in the 4th. Syd scored very early in the 4th and was pulled.

Jarrod Ammon and Bledsoe (a soph. and a freshman) ran the ball and some of our younger linemen were out there, also, very early in the 4th.

 

Score was 55-0 at the half, and it does not matter if it was or was not close at the half, there are two of them and we all want to be ahead at the end of the last one. Neither Lynn Camp or Williamsburg gave LCA a game.

LCA fans were frustrated by this, but a TON of credit has to go to W'burg QB Moses and his receiving corps. Moses is a very accurate passer, and his receivers ran good routes and had great hands.

No question the best team was LCA, but there is no question in my mind if Brown and Barton are able to play Wburg scores in the 50's. The only problem LCA would score 80 LOL. Hayden is a very talented running back and W'burg could not stop this young man. Good luck to Coach Rains and LCA.

Too many injuries on defense for the Jackets in this one. GL to LCA.

Hayden was the main difference in the game. LCA had more speed than I anticipated. Special teams was the 3rd determining factor and did I mention Hayden.

Rollins is a very good player for WHS. It appeared Coach Rains ran away from him and doubled him quit often.

I certainly didn't feel LCA was more physical than Wburg.

Did Coach Rains son have any stats for the game?

The main difference from last seasons game was how many personal fouls were called on Williamsburg in this game game. This was not so last year. When did they adopt that mentality?

LCA has a few personal fouls as well. Williamsburg plays physical football and I think perhaps some of the refs forgot that football is a collision sport. The QB for Williamsburg laid a monster hit on one of LCA players, that should be a pretty good indication of how physical a football team they are.

Somewhat. I don't feel as warm and fuzzy as you think, though.

Daddy Cat, I look forward to the Jackets and Campers battle next year. This is a game I believe both sides circle on their calander. I hope you can avoid the injuries that plagued you this year.

I think we will be fine next year. Just one of those years.

There is animosity between both teams, but the rivalry is one of the best in the mountains. Very rarely is there anything left from either team. It is all on the field.

I can't picture it not being circled, Noles.

There is a mutual respect, even if it is not acknowledeged, I believe.
