The score was actually 69-24 with the starters. LCA pulled most of the starters at the end of the 3rd. A few of WB's score's came on LCA's Freshman. The game was no where near as close as the score indicates...

 

#'s 13 and 25 were outstanding football players for WB!!

They just ran into the same buzz saw that Hazard and LC ran into and it was their turn to try and stop the juggernaut, Les. LCA is EXPLOSIVE with the ball.

Their D looked OK after the 1st qtr. Some easy scores against the young kids made this appear to be smething it was not. I honestly thought that LCA might score 85-90 points (and could have), but cleared the bench. Williamsburg put in some clean shirts with about 1:44 left to play.

Looks like the Eagles offense is flying high...gonna make for a great show down next week at Ram Stadium. Seems like they need to tighten that D up a little bit but by the looks of it, Raceland is gonna have their hands full with Hayden and the bunch too. Congrats and the win and we'll see you soon

They are a juggernaut to us poor old run of the mill mountain 1A teams, Les.

We did not stop them last week, Williamsburg sure did not stop them tonight and Hazard done better than either of us at slowing them and still came within a point of giving up 50 to them. Right now, and as of the last three games, they have been a juggernaut.

I think they could have named their score had they wanted too...

 

I do, too. I don't think Rains was going to due to it being his alma matter he was doing it to..

I don't believe Williamsburg, Hazard or Lynn Camp are poor old run of the mill mountain teams. Hazard had a great season and Williamsburg did, too. Injuries riddled Lynn Camp, but what do I know.

You've got to give credit to Williamsburg for having a great season and reaching the second round of the playoffs.

I meant average with the run of the mill thing, Les. Just added mountains for a point of reference and our inability to stop LCA. 3 weeks, 3 mountain teams (All 1A), three losses.

I never said they were bad, but the play on the field pretty much showed who was what the last three weeks, no matter what you know!

We all three played a state favorite and our measure of seperation showed.

Late in the third I actually started wondering if we were going to see the game end with a qtr left to play. It was begining to show signs of turning into a frustration brawl! I would have put my starters back in for one more offensive series after the second td on the freshmen.
