I remeber the game in question and Bell did play Rock to the wire without the 4 interceptions thrown for touchbacks Bell shouldve prevailed in a 13-0 loss.

 

I think that is a game that still drives Bell today. Most of the Seniors now were starting as Sophmores on that team and remember that game well. :devil:

Do you not credit good defense for those 4 INT's, because the Rock had Bell County covered up all night and it was Bell County who came out and only ran the ball 2 times the entire night. They threw the ball over 45 times that night. The odds are against you when you throw that many times, I mean you are going to throw INT's.

I'm not sure about that '09 statement, Bell Co. is still a decently young team, only 13 seniors.

That is the most BC has had in years. I can remember just a few short years ago the fans were complaining because each year they only had 5-6 seniors. As far as the future in concerned, I have heard nothing but their freshmen team being short on numbers and same for their sophomore class because they didn't even have enough for a true 9th grade team.

Bell really plays only 4 seniors on defense. They will also have 6 back on offense. Trust me nobody will be shedding tears for Bell next year. They will be ok. :thumb:

 

 

Freshman class had good numbers 14 or so but had a few kids get hurt and could not finish the season. Incoming freshman class is good sized and very good as well. :fight::ylsuper:

Yeah Bell Co will be down for many years to come not enough players to compete year in and year out. I sure hope that all of the teams that are on Bell Co schedule next year reads this post and takes it to heart.:laugh:

You also decided to imply that Bell's numbers weren't very good and appeared that you were saying they will struggle after this year. As for 2 years ago, Rockastle played well and made some big INTs. But it does still bother Bell because we felt like we could have won if we could of just had a few of those plays back. Anyways Bell will be fine for years to come.

How many players dress for Bell County right now? I was just going on what I've heard all year from fans of BelL County, that two of their classes were lower in numbers that they'd like. That doesn't mean they will struggle, heck they may have 10 Reggie Bush's in the 9th grade class, I do not care. Like I said and for some reason it keeps getting ignored, I was just stating a fact that 13 seniors wasn't some lowly numbers that easy to replace. I'd bet Bell County hasn't had 13 seniors more than 3-4 times in the last 15 years. For a mountain school, 13 seniors is a lot. Rockcastle County has not had 13+ seniors since 2001-2002 seasons. Before that, I think it was in 1993 they had 22, other than that they have had 8-11 roughly each year. Is anything wrong with that, no. I was just stating a fact. I give up.
