November 16, 200817 yr No, that roughing the passer was nothing like the roughing the kickers. IMO, the one that was negated was a horrible call anyway. A bit of acting took place.
November 16, 200817 yr We slowed it down and watched it and it looked like it came down right as the interception took place. That could be iffy, though, because it was a bang, bang play and the interception and the hit happened pretty close together. Still though, Micah did not go for the head and if you can't hit a QB, then what is the purpose in playing football? It was a horrible call. That call alone could be the difference between a dome in Atlanta and freezing to death in Memphis.

Its a judgement call, i'm sure it is a lot harder to make an accurate call full speed. Officials only get bad things put on them, when they make a good call no one points it out. That call may have been questionable, but it looked to me that Micah could have not hit the QB if he really wanted to.
November 16, 200817 yr We find out here how much that 1st half drained the D. A stop and momentum shifts big time...

I agree with what you are saying, BUT in a potential game-changing play (such as an interception) then the official should be absolutely positive of the transgression before throwing the flag and overturning the play. If Micah had hit the QB's head, then it would have been warranted. Otherwise, keep the yellow hanky in your pocket.
