November 7, 200817 yr In other words he said nothing of substance.I listened to it, he didn't say much to impress upon me anything new and exciting.
November 7, 200817 yr I listened to it, he didn't say much to impress upon me anything new and exciting. Talks cheap anyways. We will see soon enough is he means what he says.
November 7, 200817 yr  Pompous and Obama? You gotta be kidding me. And the people shout, OBAMALUJAH!
November 7, 200817 yr He just said something on the lines of, "I have talked to all the past Presidents, well the living ones obviously." :lol:Perhaps he's planning a seance.
November 8, 200817 yr Author You have to admit, by picking one of the most partisan Dems out there for COS, it's not looking likely. I believe he'll be listening to the President and his ideas, he won't be in charge of deciding if the two will be bipartisan or not.:thumb:

November 8, 200817 yr Then you should recall the seance comment.Who said I didn't? I know I didn't say that.
November 8, 200817 yr Author Who said I didn't? I know I didn't say that. Did you not hear the seance comment by Obama, refering to Nancy Reagan? He actually meant Hillary.
November 8, 200817 yr Did you not hear the seance comment by Obama, refering to Nancy Reagan? He actually meant Hillary. Obama called Nancy to apologize.
November 8, 200817 yr Spent part of his time discussing the dog they were going to buy. I don't know he seems like a likeable guy but to believe that the most liberal senator is going to become a moderate overnight is just not realistic. Interesting that he got a note of congratulations from Iran.

I don't know he seems like a likeable guy but to believe that the most liberal senator is going to become a moderate overnight is just not realistic. Interesting that he got a note of congratulations from Iran. And his comment on the note was pretty powerful.
November 8, 200817 yr What exactly did he say of substance? I thought he said at least one HUGE thing of substance, when he said regarding his tax plan: "I've said all along 95% of the working Americans will pay less taxes under my plan" Note the addition of the word "working" to his spiel--Not 95% of Americans, as in his campaign mode, but "working" Americans, as in taxpayers. Could this spell the end to his handout promises for the appx. 35-40% who pay no income taxes or don't work, but thought they'd be getting rebate checks every year under his "Robin Hood Plan" he was elected on??
