I think you would be hard pressed to find a more classless play than the one the Henderson County player put on display at the end of the game. Probably deserves more than a red card.

What occured ?

Excellent game by the Birds last night. Dakota Beerman is so tough and strong in traffic. Score could very easily have been 4 or 5 to zero. Keeper play by Alex Etienne was very good and the defense did a pretty could job of limiting the number of shots Henderson was able to take. St. X will be a challenge for sure, but the ball does sometime take funny bounces.

 

Congrats and Good Luck tomorrow night to both the ladies and the men.

Everybody wins STATE '08!

Heard they are going to paint Georgetown College royal Blue tomorrow night. Great job Boys! Great play all around last night. Both coaches commented that HHS won most every loose ball. Mid fielders played incrediblely smart touch. Tons of balls played out to Gold and Etherton and up the middle to Thomason and Beerman! Jack White played great! The man was on fire in the last 20 minutes - he was a beast! Nick Urlage had his usual strong presence in the back. Everyone who played last night for the Birds contributed.

 

This has to be one of the best displays of team soccer. Sounds like they will face the same tomorrow against St. X.

 

Boys I suggest you go home tonight after the football game and rent Hoosiers or Remember the Titans!

You are correct. The score was Highlands 2 and Henderson County Zero and the Birds move on. I will comment on the play Oldbird is talking about.

 

Less than 10 seconds to play, announcer counting down the time, ball at midfield on the foot of a Highlands player and a Henderson player throws a cross body block. Probably done in frustration, but a cheap shot nonetheless. The last I checked this is a red card.
