November 6, 200817 yr I have never done this before, but, starting at midnight tonight, I am not posting in P&R for 1 week. I won't be back till November 12th. I doubt any of you will miss me, as intelligent conversation has all but left (not to be too self-aggrandizing ). I may occasionally browse the site or PM, but we'll see. Hopefully, by the time I come back, all the garbage will be gone. Good luck.

November 6, 200817 yr I will miss you. I think you do a good job on here. However, I trust you will still be visiting the rest of the site?
November 6, 200817 yr I've done some BGP "fasting" before, but when I did it, I left the entire site....and it wasn't always voluntary.
November 6, 200817 yr I am about there with you myself. All I can do tonight is defense and there is too much crap out there to shovel it all out of the way. There is almost NO way to have any intelligent conversation on here tonight. Feel free to hit me with a PM. I am sure I will need it for my sanity.

November 6, 200817 yr Author Is this the BGP equivalent of fasting? Being Catholic has its perks. I will miss you. I think you do a good job on here. However, I trust you will still be visiting the rest of the site? Most likely. Although I'd imagine the CCH v St. X game Saturday may push me over the top.
November 6, 200817 yr Goodbye CCH Though I never knew you at all You had the grace to hold yourself While those around you crawled They crawled out of the woodwork And they whispered into your brain They set you on the treadmill And they made you change your game. And it seems to me you posted your thoughts Like a candle in the wind Never knowing who to cling to When the drivel set in And I would have liked to have known you But I was just a clown Your candle burned out long before Your legend left BGP town.

November 6, 200817 yr I understand I use to be pretty active in this forum, but I just read now, and snipe from time to time. I miss the old days.

November 6, 200817 yr Anyone remember Frances Bavier? Absolutely. Still miss him or her. Very thoughtful and informed poster even though I tended to disagree with him or her quite often.
