Your post was clear to me - that because people are afraid of Sen. Obama, there would be attempts on his life. I don't necessarily agree - it is my belief that IF there are are such attempts, they will be borne of hate (or mental illness) and not fear.

 

Probably true. I guess I just find it strange that people have such strong feelings about Obama. I don't agree with his policies, and I think they could be bad for the country, but I don't feel much emotion at him, just his policies. Some people seem to hate and/or fear the man.

Just as many actually hate George Bush, there are a number of people who feel the same about Obama. They believe him to be dangerous. They know very little about him and what they know is a conflicting mixed bag at best. His past associations don't nuture positive feelings about him in the eyes of those who stand on traditional Judeo-Christian tenets.

 

Regardless of the outcome, the country will be even more divided after the election than it is today.

How can you (the general you) hate someone you know very little about? Distrust, question, be apprehensive about, I understand. Hate, I do not.
