Told my uncle and Dad "Maddon will blow this, so I won't get excited." after Baldelli's homerun. When he left Howell in, instead of pinch hitting for him, I said "see?" When Burrell hit the double and Howell got pulled, I said "Told you so."

I love Joe Maddon and what he's done with this team as a whole, but he is a terrible game manager. He's made questionable decisions all season.

Game has a lot of decisions, for the Managers. Whom to pitch to, walk, infield in or back and pitching decisions. Lot of game still left.

Rays needed more patience, from Upton in that AB.

Agreed and it does worry me, that on occasion I agree with McCarver. An aspect of the game, that is often overlooked but critical to success, patience.

You have your entire pitching staff rested available to you in a sudden death game and you do not pinch hit for Howell. To me, eating an out when you do not have outs to give, especially with the tools you have sitting in the pen, is not a good decision in this situation. It's also par for the course for Joe.
