Back off Henry Co. All four district teams are solid this year. If you go to Cal Preps you will see this is the #1 rated district in the state in 3A. I understand that some people are bashing them because some of their Bluegrass posters were a little boastful. They are a very solid team and all 4 teams in the district should rank in the top 15 in the state.

I was blasted on this site several weeks ago for saying Henry County hadn't proven themselves because they beat up on weak teams to begin the year. Now they finish 0-3 in the district and will travel to Louisville Central to open the playoffs. If you don't play quality opponents, 5-0 starts do not make you state title contenders.

 

I think I may have somewhat 'took them to task" for running up the score in their game against Eminence. From what I knew thought it was uncalled for - big rival or not. Sometimes things like that can come back to 'haunt."

These are all either 2 or 3 seeds in their district that I would fully expect to be the district champs in Henry's district going undefeated.

 

Calpreps can recognize it as the most competitive district, but I am sure most of bluegrasspreps can recognize it as a district that does not have a single team on the same level as any of 3A's big boys.

There are a lot of people at HC who are taking any success humbly. Don't let a select few distort your view. Of course, you are free to think what you like, but keep that in mind.

I think Henry, Spencer and Western Hills could all play with and probably beat Tilghman, Taylor Co and Russellville. I have had my war of words with the Henry Co fans but I have seen them play, as well as North Oldham, and these are some very good teams. They all are top 15 teams IMHO.
