Great game by the Jugs, hats off to them

I'm pretty sure the Tigers match up with them. They easily drove the ball down the field on the Juggs the first two series but on the second one the Juggs was lucky that a perfectly thrown TD pass was dropped.

 

Sounds more like someone failing to make a play than luck.

 

I may be wrong and I don't have a dog in this fight but it seems to me that there was an awful lot of smack talk in the prediction thread for this game and it's awful funny there are few posts by the Tiger following on BGP...

Great game, Juggs! Hard to believe that this was the same team that barely looked awake last week against Holy Cross. Now how about shocking NewCath this Friday?:scared:

Lloyd clearly was the better team on that night but the Tigers were only down 1 score late in the game and 2 quick scores by Lloyd put it out of reach. I look at this as a letdown game for the Tigers coming off their big Homecoming victory over archrival Dayton.

 

The emotions of that game and the competetiveness probably took a lot out of them. The fact that the Lloyd game really meant nothing and it was the Juggs' Homecoming put them behind the 8 ball right away.

 

Taking nothing away from Lloyd as they have some very gifted athletes who can make big plays right quick. Also from what Eckstein was quoted in the paper, they have a very big interior offensive and defensive line who controlled the game.

 

Congrats to the Juggs and good luck this week vs. the Breds.

Bellevue was not going to win that game regardless. That defense is what Lloyd has needed all year (stay with it coach) and having a hard nosed full back is a big difference. Those Lloyd backs run hard but they need a lead blocker, and I hope they use him alot more.

You are completely right, it wasn't luck it was a failure to make a play by somone the Tigers normally rely on in the passing, but it was a drop, not the play made by the db. Also it was dropped on the 3 with momentum most likely carrying him in.. Not trying to belittle Lloyd, but that was a mistake for the Tigers...

Good win for Lloyd, I expected this game to a little closer than this but I thought Lloyd would win by a small margin. Looks like Lloyd is coming back together as a team with their starting QB out. By the way, how is he doing? It was sad to see him carted off the field at Dayton.

He's doing fine. He's out for the entire football season and basketball season. But he MIGHT be able to play baseball, only time will tell.

Llyod is much better than most expect.. The back up they had playing could most likely start anywhere in class A, and also on a lot of 2A schools... Hopefully that starter recovers to finish his sports for high school.

He dislocated his knee for so long, it tore all the ligaments in his knee.
