I suppose this is what some teams need to do when they are out-manned or losing 27-7 after a quarter or so of play.

Nice game this week for the Tigers. The staff at Beechwood has been absolutely top notch for a long time, as has the unbelievably consistant volume of superior players coming through the program.

Alot of legal and illegal blocking friday night..

Did anybody notice the Beechwood coaching staff pulling the starters in the Red zone and allowing the Holy Cross team to put 7 on the board.

Also, the "blocking" continued on the JV team as they played the remainder of the game. The jv teams meet Saturday. The "blocking" by HC players leaves them in a bad football position, hope the coaching staff remembers what can happen with a lineman falling helplessly on top of another player. The level of sportsmanship is always leveled to the lowest point......

I thought Beechwood would win by around 3 TD's but sounds like HC played some defense last night holding B'wood to just 28 points.

Actually ,they ran the ball decent.This ate up alot of clock.They did not play bad by no means.

You will not get me to see this.Some ,may have been legal ,but it still dangerous and should not be legal in HS.Thing is there are seveal not being called.I guess we will have to AGREE TO DISAGREE.Good luck with it .Hope everyone stays healthy.

Closer than I thought it would be. Did HC score on Tigers 1's or 2's?

With the exception of some obvios calls I thought HC played with alot of heart. I hope the QB is not seriosly injured, he is the offensive stud on that team. Tiepel again had his MVP night, 3 TDs and 247yds against a game defence. Love to watch him run, so fluid. Beechwoods D played well, alot of holding going on and not called, which seems to be part of the "no call zone" that the tigers seem to be in. Otherwise a good game, congrats to HC for hanging in there against a great team.

They did, BW is a very good team. HC held ther own but need to step it up to the next level. PLAYCALLING HAS TO GET BETTER!!!! And if your quote

The truth is...Beechwood's O & D line dominated HC last night. Plain and simple, no whining about chop blocks & no whining about holding. They are studs...very athletic, intense and passionate about winning...and yes, they have an attitude that says: We are going to kick your butt. All of the championship caliber teams have this!

 

I will say it again...If HC wants to go deep into the playoffs, they must get the same attitude that tems like Beechwood & NCC have. They cannot continue to be intimidated by these teams.

 

Moving forward...Yes, the injury to Walker does not bode well for HC. If he is out for any amount of time they will extremely miss his running threat,

not his passing threat. Coaches, this is important: If Walker is out you will have to put Easton in at QB. Any long passes you throw can be thrown by Roenker out of the tailback position. He is an excellent double threat at this position....utilize that double threat frequently.

 

Also, it doesn't hurt to insert Brayson Smith in at tailback for a change of pace. He is an excellent outside runner with speed & moves. He is showing he can do a better job holding on to the ball...use him more!!!

I agree, it seems that Koz never figures out the right mix until it's two late.

You're absolutely correct they could start Eastin and throw the long ones with Roenker. Oh the possibilities! Eastin does an excellent job running the offense and dumping the ball off on short passes. He makes quick decisions and gets rid of the ball much sooner than Walker. Roenker definitely has the better arm for the deep throws, and the element of surprise coming from the HB position.

 

Let's just hope, as you say, that Walker is OK...but if not, the coaches will utilize this scenario.
