October 16, 200818 yr Author Of course he didn't keep his word about public financing. We should probably be thanking both these candidates for spending so much money on campaigns. It probably really really helped the economy out over the last year.

I understand it's a "contest" of sorts, but there are more noble ways to go about it. Don't get me wrong, Obama has taken his shots, but not nearly as frequently as McCain, IMO.
