Raceland goes out and takes care of business in a 55-13 win over Paris. Once again, it was good to hear that the reserves (JV) along with the Ram freshmen got a lot of playing time. I know that Carver was having a good night, hopefully someone can give us some stats on this one.

I hope that the Paris kids (who I was told did not quit and played hard throughout) will keep their heads up and working hard. Good luck to the Greyhounds the rest of the way.

Paris was nothing but class, I spoke with several Paris fans, good people. I hope Paris continues to improves and wins some more games.

 

Paris had some good runs and played hard. Both of their scores where in the first half and were against Raceland's starters. They have some nice players.

 

Raceland gave up some big plays and Paris capitalized on them. Raceland's defense was good overall, and the offense was explosive. Raceland worked on some different things from the start, that will help later in the season. It was good to see Raceland adding to their flexibility. They are going to be hard to stop come playoff time, they have multiple options on how to come at you. And all of them seem to work. Opposing coaches are going to have to spend a lot of time in preparation.

 

Robbie Logan had another great game, no stats yet, but he was in on several tackles and had one sack I believe.

 

The DC Express ran wild with help from Cody Kelly. All three had big games on the ground, and racked up quite a bit of rushing yardage.

If the Administration, community and all Greyhound fans give 100% support to this football program, I think you will see Paris back in the hunt for a championship in the near future. I think the coaching staff has them headed in the right direction.

I agree cville and as I said Paris has always had athletes. The last few years their numbers have been down but certainly not the way their players gave it their all in every game that we have played with them. That tells me a lot about the Paris players and their pride. I agree with you in hoping that the community stays behind the Paris coaches,players and the football program. That once was a very proud communty, school and football tradition.

First of all, congratulations to the Rams, coaches, and Raceland community on this win! I don’t believe anyone is surprised at the outcome, but Ram points out how games like this are just as important as the ones which are closely contested:

What Raceland does with their JFL program is outstanding. Taking the time to develop these young players is one of the reasons why the varsity Rams are enjoying their current level of success...the payoff is evident. I especially like the touch of letting the JFL kids warm up beside a varsity player (I assume that happened last night).
