What Raceland does with their JFL program is outstanding. Taking the time to develop these young players is one of the reasons why the varsity Rams are enjoying their current level of success...the payoff is evident. I especially like the touch of letting the JFL kids warm up beside a varsity player (I assume that happened last night).

 

Yes, they did warm up with the varsity as has been the tradition for many years. I heard that there are somewhere around 180 kids in the JFL program.

A far cry from when my boys started in the progrm. 1 team of probably about 30 boys and a cheerleading squad.

Thanks Painter. As TGF has said, Raceland has always done that with the JFL. We are very proud of our JFL program and imo that is where a high school program begins. There are other very good JFL programs around and it shows in their h.s. program and traditions as well.
