That's good to hear that about the Alford kid. With the physical Defense of play by Rosenhagen, Roller, Head, and now Alford. You can believe there will be some head hunting going on out there. Good Job and keep working hard!

Hoptown's fan base is fickle. Even worse, there would have been fewer Christian County fans there if they were playing Highlands. They should just give the Stadium to Fort Campbell and Trigg County. They would come closer to filling it on game night.

I hear that Fort Campbell will play Hopkinsville next year and hope that in the future they can schedule Highlands, possibly at a bowl game in BG or somewhere in the middle due to the long drive. I think a FC v Highlands matchup would be a good game.

Fort Campbell is scheduled to play Hopkinsville next year. They have also added Pearl Cohn (Tenn.) and a couple of other Tennessee schools (maybe Clarksville schools) to their schedule for 2009-10.

I know. I wish I had more time to wander through the tailgating. Such is the nature of the game when TV shows up and takes over every empty press box space. I only had to move twice. I'll try and visit with you at PJCS in December

I'd disagree with Dale and say Ryle was the second best overall team that we've played. Hoptown certainly had more skilled athletes than Ryle; that's for certain. Hoptown had a better offense than Ryle (very nice passing game), but Ryle's defense was much, much better (although some of our O problems against Ryle were caused by a very green and inexperienced O line in that first game). Honestly, the only time Hoptown forced us to punt was when we stopped ourselves. We did turn the ball over on Hoptown's 10 yd line (approx) very late in the game when we didn't convert on 4th and 1, but if Dale really wanted to convert and then score, he'd have gone with the short yardage O which Hoptown hadn't stopped all night.
