It was easier to sign up for a new name than resurrect my old one - if that was even an option. So Hoot Gibson = AcesFull. I do not plan on being nearly as active in this forum in the future but I will check in from time to time. I signed up again mostly to avoid losing access to the hs football forum.

October 1, 200817 yr Why would resurrecting an old user name be hard?Correct me if I am wrong, but wihen your subscription expires there is no renewal option but you cannot use a name that has been already taken. I may have been able to have managed to keep the old name by exchanging emails with one of the admins but there is nothing magic IMO about a screen name used in a high school sports forum. I am comfortable being a rookie every year or two. It makes me feel young and invigorated. :lol:

I work for a small business owner who Obama considers rich, so I will be lucky to remain employed after Nov. 4.

October 16, 200817 yr I thought the inauguration wasn't until January. As of Friday, our work load dropped by at least 75% because our primary customer's orders dropped to nearly zero, Friday was the last day for our contract programmers and one of them had worked for us for more than five years. Seriously, I do not think that the economy will react favorably to Obama's election, especially where owners of small businesses are concerned. I heard a drive time talk show host describe Obama's tax plan as trickle-up poverty and that is the way I view it. Honestly, though I am not sure that in the short term that it matters much who gets elected as far as the economy is concerned. The economy is a bipartisan mess and government is going to try to fix it no matter who gets elected. I have no faith in the government's ability to run businesses better than the owners of those businesses. If work does not pick up within a few weeks, then I will probably be hitting the road to find work elsewhere.
