September 25, 200818 yr How many folks are still not sure who they should vote for and are waiting to hear the debates? And how many don't care about the debates, your mind is made up? Anyway to get a poll going on this?
September 25, 200818 yr The debates have lots of major flaws. One, not ALL candidates are in them. Two, in the current format they are basically candidates giving scripted answers to scripted questions. Not much goes on in the form of "actual debate".
September 25, 200818 yr I agree with former and hereby call for a return to actual unprepared Lincoln-Douglas debate format.
September 25, 200818 yr I am undecided, but unfortunately it will not be Obama because I don't align with his ideas. It's either McCain, Barr, Baldwin, or a write-in.
September 25, 200818 yr Think about it, how much does anyone actually remember from any of the Presidential debates that was actually said?
September 25, 200818 yr I agree with former and hereby call for a return to actual unprepared Lincoln-Douglas debate format. I agree whole heartedly, but let regular working class people, democrat and republican etc. ask the questions, not biased network or newspaper reporters. Could be entertaining to watch both candidates dance and try to worm their way out of blunt, direct questioning.

Isn't that something like the Town Hall meetings McCain wanted to do with obama? I twould be VERY interesting to hear the questions that would be thrown at these guys in that format. Why is obama so afraid to do them?:scared:
September 26, 200818 yr I'm absolutely sure who I'll vote for: None Of The Above. Right now, I'm with you. First time ever.:irked:
September 26, 200818 yr I'm absolutely sure who I'll vote for: None Of The Above.I'm sorry if you have said this before, but are you sitting out totally?
September 26, 200818 yr I am undecided, but unfortunately it will not be Obama because I don't align with his ideas. It's either McCain, Barr, Baldwin, or a write-in. I have to ask, why do you use the word "unfortunately" when you say you aren't voting for Obama. Just curious, seems an odd way to phrase it.
September 26, 200818 yr I'm sorry if you have said this before, but are you sitting out totally? Yes. This is the sixth Presidential election I've been eligible to vote in, and each time the options have been awful. Frankly, I'm tired of it. Despite the hard work by the party hacks on this board to influence you otherwise, there's not much difference between the two candidates, or the parties they represent, at least at the national level. So I'm out. I guess George W. Bush can take solace in the fact that he's the straw that broke the camel's back. But it's not as though I cared one iota about John Kerry or Al Gore. I just hated GWB and what he stood/stands for with a passion. If you'll notice, my presence in presidential election-related threads this year has been minimal. What comments I do make are as a party-neutral observer, calling it how I see it. And I will still gripe about the regrettable state of our country, and the hacks who have taken an active part in driving us to this point. So, to those who would use that lame-o "if you don't vote, you don't have a right to complain" line, I say.

So, to those who would use that lame-o "if you don't vote, you don't have a right to complain" line, I say. Absolutely. I voted for George W. once, and his father before that. I've complained about them plenty. This time, I have this feeling of not wanting to be responsible for either Obama or McCain.
