Was this ever in doubt? After the other rulings the KHSAA has handed out this year I would figure this would be a nobrainer. I believe the time has come to allow all kids to play wherever they want not just those with friends in high places.

Good for GRC, Not so good for the rest of the 10th, The best team in the region just got better.

This just solidifies my earlier prediction that GRC will be one of the Top 3 teams in the state this season.

I think it was Scott County and Huntington High. With SC beating them by 4!:dancingpa

It was all of the above. Lex. Cath. first played Huntington High and losing by double digits, and Scott county later played them in a home and home...winning at home and losing at Huntington with OJ Mayo in street clothes.

 

I expected Zollo to be eligible, and I look forward to seeing him play. GRC will be formidable this year.

Your right Plato. The transfer your refering to is Christian Brewer from Powell Co. He's a great shooter and has good size for a point guard. He's 6'1 and has great ball handling skills. I got the chance to see him play at the Sports Plex in Knott Co. this summer. He had 27 points against Knott Central and 24 points against Hazard. He looked good and under control. Glad to see him at GRC.

Thats what happens when you build a good program. Good players transfer in. You can't blame them because now a kid like Brewer will get a lot more exposure and improve more by playing for a better coach.

You are correct. Heard he could shoot lights out. Right now I see him coming off the bench for Williams and/or Hatton. He is Jr and should be a starter next year.

Ch 27 out of Lexington. They carry at least one game each year. Two years ago I believe they carried Lexington Catholic and Huntington High ( Patrick Patterson and OJ Mayo).

 

And I believe they carried the Lexington Catholic-Mason County game played in Memorial last season (although I watched in person and not from my den). Nice to see the 10th Region getting this kind of exposure.

I was thinking the same thing...but wasn't for sure. I agree great exposure for the 10th region.

I was wondering if anybody has had a chance to watch some open gym yet and to be able to check out Vinny or Christian on the court. To see how well their adjusting to their new teammates. I agree with you gold sunrise about Christian coming off the bench but I would'nt be surprized to see him in the rotation sooner than expected. From what I'm hearing his preatty good.:thumb:

I agree, he will see PT very soon I am told. May even start in pre-season scrimmages till Ryan Williams gets back and adjusts from football. He can shoot lights out. All are adjusting very well to each other, all are great friends, which in turn is producing great team chemistry. This is going to be a very special group this year.:thumb:
