gchs you are exactly right. Not sure what I was thinking???

Too early I guess. I would think either of these teams would feel like they have a shot to go up to Greenup or etc and pull out a win.

This game will tell a lot about scheduling philosophies. Madison has played lots of hard competition from the big classes where as McCreary has padded their schedule early to get some wins and boast confidence. It will be interesting to see if Madison can recovery from a tough start against stellar competition and pull this game out, or if they played to many tough games early when they needed some games to boost confidence.

I'm glad someone out there has given us credit for playing a difficult schedule. Southern may not be the best, but they play teams who are tough and bring it week in and week out. Southern has gotten tougher over the last two weeks and look for them to out tough McCreary.

I thought the winner got either Boyle or Lex Cath. I was under the impression that opposing districts would face off in the first round like in the past.

LexCath's district and Harrison's district make up 1 Eastern region and Bell/Greenup makes up the other. The winners from those regions will play in the Semi's.

Mcreary should win this game. Mcreary will have the most talented kid on the field, and that should be enough.

Have you seen Rico Brown play?

Have you seen Rico Brown play?

I've seen both. Brown is good but Watts is better. Not intended as a slight to Brown but Watts is exceptional.

Southern's offense tries to get others involved, McCreary every thing goes through Watts. If the entire offense went through Rico then you all would be saying he was better.

Brown is not better. He does very little on defense and is just an "open spaces" man on offense. Watts is the best player on defense and he runs inside and out on offense. No doubt Watts is better player and he is just a Jr.

McCreary has had several players score for them this year and in the Leslie Co game Watts didn't score at all. But as far as everything going through Watts..............he is the QB so everything has to go through him!:ylsuper:

Yes I have. I would still have to go with Watts, he is a better athlete and defensive player. Being a Williamsburg fan, I would love to have an athlete as good as either one of them. Rico is a good athlete as well, and he definetly can score every time he touches the ball.

Rico actually does a lot on defense. If I'm not mistaken he is 1st or 2nd on the team in tackles, and has 3 INT's. I have went to the Williamsburg game and talked to several who say he doesn't do a great job sticking his nosr in there on D. You might be a little mistaken.
