September 20, 200818 yr This game was actually pretty close for a good part of the game. OSU took care of business in the 4th though. Pryor looks like a HUGE upgrade over Boeckman. I was very impressed with the way he handled himself. 4 td's to 1 interception I believe. I know I know, it's only Troy. Still pretty impressive for the young man. Congrats to the Buckeyes and their fans.
September 20, 200818 yr Author ^ The Bucks have Minnesota next week, that one should be another good one for Pryor to get more starting qb experience before some of the tougher ones......PSU, Wisc., Ill., etc..
September 20, 200818 yr Author That's the caliber of competition more to the Bucks' liking. Another predictable post......:sleep:
September 20, 200818 yr Truth hurts, eh? Nobody expected Pryor to be the week 3 starter, it is what it is, but give him a year and there offense will be in 6th gear.
September 20, 200818 yr Nobody expected Pryor to be the week 3 starter, it is what it is, but give him a year and there offense will be in 6th gear. Great, just enough firepower to beat up on a weak Big Ten and a steady non-conference diet of patsies.
September 20, 200818 yr Great, just enough firepower to beat up on a weak Big Ten and a steady non-conference diet of patsies. No Wells, freshman QB, against a spread offense and OSU won. I am sure they will take it. If the Gators didn't have there Heisman Tebow, I don't think they would operate like a well oiled machine either. And let me get something straight the UL crowd is calling out OSU...

Florida has the speed to make up for the loss ot Tebow, if that were to happen. OSU, obviously does not have the speed to make up for the loss of their best player. I'm not an OSU fan, but to be honest I have nothing against them. It would be nice to see them be able to compete with another major conference team though. Until then, there's not much any OSU fan can say to change anyone's perception of OSU or the Big 11

I've taken more than my fair share of lumps, so I have no problem whatsoever in calling out OSU for its inability to compete against top-flite competition. If they'd bother to schedule some tough non-con teams more often than once every four years or so, maybe they'd be suitably toughened up to handle teams from conferences not named the Big Ten or MAC once they got to a bowl game.

The OSU schedule is loaded almost the next 10 years with tough non conference opponent. OSU will be fine, they are in the process of changing there entire offensive scheme which will pay off in a year or two.

OSU will be fine, they are in the process of changing there entire offensive scheme which will pay off in a year or two. They will use Pryor the same way they used Troy Smith. That didn't really work to well either. It's not about the speed of one player. OSU lacks speed both on the oline and dline as well as linebackers.
