Ohio State 28 Troy 10

Featured Replies

They will use Pryor the same way they used Troy Smith. That didn't really work to well either. It's not about the speed of one player. OSU lacks speed both on the oline and dline as well as linebackers.

That's the big difference between what OSU does and what goes on with the SEC. Especially at LB, IMO.

One tough non-conference opponent in 10 years won't have the effect you think ... :D

One power house team each year non conference for around the next 10 years...?

I don't remember the specifics.. I know they have USC next year, Oklahoma 2 and 2.. Miami FL, 2 and 2.

Well i'm glad we wont have to hear any talk about OSU going undefeated any time soon then...

Going undefeated for any team is a major challenge. The one thing OSU has going for them is there willing to change things. You got the top QB recruit in the country who through 4 TD's today in this first start. They got the top RB out of Florida coming in next year, Cris Carters son coming in from FL next year. They have two linebackers from FL who were top top at there positions this past year. They are bringing in more pure athletes but they have to translate it on to the field on Saturday's.

I was messing with you. You mistakenly wrote "opponent" instead of "opponents."

But, I will say that as weak as the Big Ten has been, OSU would be better served with two tough non-con opponents each year, since it's painfully obvious the Big Ten isn't adequately preparing them to face the big boys.

Anyone else find it funny that OSU's two most competitive games lately have not come against LSU and USC but against Ohio U and Troy?

Truth hurts, eh?

Great, just enough firepower to beat up on a weak Big Ten and a steady non-conference diet of patsies.

See post 6

I've taken more than my fair share of lumps, so I have no problem whatsoever in calling out OSU for its inability to compete against top-flite competition. If they'd bother to schedule some tough non-con teams more often than once every four years or so, maybe they'd be suitably toughened up to handle teams from conferences not named the Big Ten or MAC once they got to a bowl game.

Another answer to all of the above besides "see post 6" would be....:laugh::laugh::laugh::jump::jump:

Stir away gentlemen (or ladies, since I don't know you) whichever the case may be.

Oh, that little nugget is not lost on the rest of the nation. OSU fans are hoping everybody casually overlooked it, however.

Ohio State will be just fine and back in the NC sooner rather than later.;)

That imo is the fact that most can't stand bc their teams just aren't good enough.:sssh::D

As has been repeated, ad nauseum, other teams bother to schedule accordingly in non-conference when their conference sucks. OSU would rather take the free pass and get embarrassed in the NC game, however.

But I guess it doesn't really bother you since you play both sides of the fence. By claiming allegiance to 50 different teams, you never really lose, do you?

"OSU lost-- darn! But that's OK, I can just say I'm a UK fan."

It must really kill you in baseball with the Yankers and Reds both stinking, eh? Or are you on another bandwagon? Tampa Bay maybe?

Those "personal" cheap shots may bother me if I ever put anything into anything that you have ever said. Unlike yourself, I have tried to keep away from getting personal but if it makes you feel better and that's what you want to do then go for it..

As for your claim on me being "bandwagon"...nothing could be futher from the truth. I have always said that OSU is my favorite football team along with U.K. a favorite in all sports. I also like and pull for another couple of teams when they are playing as well and if some don't like it then that is not my problem. No bandwagon, just teams that I like to watch and pull for when they are playing. I am a fan of all of college football. No bandwagon here, you are wrong once again..............GO Buckeyes!

I don't owe anyone and especially don't owe you any explanation on anything my friend.

I guess that I am just not a fan of that self proclaimed "elite" team by the river, uh.

BTW.....See Post 6.

I am glad that you are paying attention to my post and coments though. :D

Good win..

Pryor should have been at the gun from day one IMO..

Wells needs to get back and soon if this team wants to win another Big 10 championship.
