NEERFAN Posted September 20, 2008 Posted September 20, 2008 SK scored on their first play, 70 yard run by Simpson. SK played their starters for one quarter, and from my count Simpson had 157 yds on 7 carries and I think 5 Tds. Hats off to Cooper, they didn't quit, and actually moved the ball down the field against SK's 2's.
pioneer1981 Posted September 20, 2008 Posted September 20, 2008 49-0 at the half.Chad Lawrence QB of the future for SK played most of the 2nd half had a nice 70 yard TD run.
Hamilton Joe Posted September 20, 2008 Posted September 20, 2008 Congrats to the Pioneers..Thanks Coach Marksberry
sportsfan41 Posted September 20, 2008 Posted September 20, 2008 Congrats to the Neers. Wondering how the field looked tonight? Any thoughts about it?
NEERFAN Posted September 20, 2008 Author Posted September 20, 2008 The field looks great, the fence on the other hand is not to my liking.
sportsfan41 Posted September 20, 2008 Posted September 20, 2008 The field looks great, the fence on the other hand is not to my liking. We stopped by there maybe three or four weeks ago on a Sunday, there wasn't a fence yet, so I dunno what it's like. What about it didn't you like?
NEERFAN Posted September 20, 2008 Author Posted September 20, 2008 I like follow the LOS, from the visitors side, and the fence is on the outside of the fence. It stops at the stands, then there is a walkway behind the stands, on the other side it stops at about the 25 yard line, so you don't have as much range. Other than that, it's a beautiful field, and we are 1-0 on the new turf.
Long_Season122403 Posted September 20, 2008 Posted September 20, 2008 Great job Pioneers.. How about that hit Simpson laid on the Cooper receiver? The kid is impressive all the way around.
NEERFAN Posted September 20, 2008 Author Posted September 20, 2008 That was a nasty stick by Simpson. At that point of the game I believe Cooper had one first down, and Romero mad a nice pass to #4, I thought it would be a significant gain for the Jags but Simpson came into the picture and crushed him. Thankfully the young man was able to walk off on his own, and it looked like he may have had to be stiched up. Miles is a heavy hitter, he brings that type of mentality to his running style.
PutMeInCoach Posted September 20, 2008 Posted September 20, 2008 Got ya, why didn't you just attend the game. It's homecoming, you're still young. I think you're still allowed to go Work, combined with an early start.. Who is next for the Pioneers?
NEERFAN Posted September 21, 2008 Author Posted September 21, 2008 Ryle, in Union. If SK want to make the playoffs they will have to win at least two more district games, or hope for a 3 way tie.
bearcat26 Posted September 24, 2008 Posted September 24, 2008 Easy game for the Pioneers as they cruise 56-14, but how about Chad Romero. He stepped his game up in the second half to get the Jaguars on the board twice and a good second half showing for Romero.
NEERFAN Posted September 24, 2008 Author Posted September 24, 2008 What grade is Romero? He had a very nice 3 quarters of play.
