Beanie Wells out against Troy, starting QB uncertain

Featured Replies

my bad.....thanks for the correction, I was in a hurry today, and made a syntax error.

I say Troy in a close one. 24-21

Pryor needs to be starting and taking the snaps IMO. I think that if Pryor was to start now next year IF Wells stay that would be one nasty combo of those two.

I wish we knew how everything went in practice. But, based upon what we've seen in the past couple of games...I think Pryor is deserving of more playing time, if for nothing else...the lack of production by Boeckman.

If the Bucks ever get Wells back healthy, their best plays might involve off-tackle handoffs (or fakes) to Wells, with Pryor on a naked boot with run or pass options (to Robiske or Hartline). Could cause confusion throughout the defense. HOWEVER, that all depends on who's at RB, and whether Pryor can recognize when to tuck it, and when to throw it. We've seen more of his legs than his arm so far.

But, one things for certain, no matter who's at any of the key positions...the offensive line NEEDS TO BLOCK SOMEBODY!!

I may be in the minority here, but I think Boeckman needs to be the starter. Let Pryor have 20% - 30% of the snaps.

Boeckman is good enough (along with the rest of the Bucks) to roll through Big 10 play and get you to a BCS bowl game. I cannot say the same for Pryor. Although talented, he could still cost the Bucks a game through inexperience alone. Just settle down Buck fans. Fact is, tOSU is not as good as USC, but they are still good enough to bet the tops in conference.

I agree with your last statement bugatti. I do think that Boekman can run this team for the most part, I just think that it is a matter of time before Pryor is starting and taking the majority of the snaps this season. Every report that I have heard on him is that he is the real deal and is so good that it will be hard to keep him out much longer.

I agree that the Bucks can win the Big10 and get to a BCS bowl. Penn St. worries me as much as anyone really. I look for them to make a serious run/challenge for the Big10. Yes, USC is better and that has been decided, imo the rest of the season will hinge mainly on how this team can come back mentally after that loss.

GO Buckeyes!!!
