September 20, 200817 yr I just wish the Reds wouldn't wait until September to gear up for their annual salary drive... Before the season started there was a Reds prediction thread; I said 80-82. There's still hope.
September 20, 200817 yr Author As much as I would love to give the kids all the credit, I have to give Baker some as well. This team continues to play hard and they have been a factor in the playoff race. We shall see how this carries over to spring training, but at least they didn't quit and just mail it in back in August.

September 20, 200817 yr Author That's because they got rid of the postal guys:D I know Dunn has had a big hit or two while in Arizona, but I couldn't help but laugh each time I saw him choke away a chance for a big hit against the Reds. It's funny with Dunn gone and listening to Reds broadcasts, that E-5 is now become the main target. He has always been in discussions for this and that, but with the other two scapegoats gone, he is the next one on the list. Would be interesting to see if the Reds traded him.
September 20, 200817 yr 18-15 since trading Dunn 20-24 since trading Griffey, Jr. I believe AZ has a losing record since aquiring Dunn. Not sure how the White Sox have fared since the Jr. aquisition.
September 20, 200817 yr National TV day for the Redlegs, BTW. Cueto's got a nice duel going with CC; 2-1 Brewers.
September 20, 200817 yr Author National TV day for the Redlegs, BTW. Cueto's got a nice duel going with CC; 2-1 Brewers. As long as they switch to the Cubs game in a few innings, I don't care. It is a nice pitchers duel, Sabathia may not be as good as Oswalt against the Reds, but he rarely loses.
September 20, 200817 yr Author Reds load 'em up with no outs in the 6th. Patterson comes through, but the other guy can't, how often have you heard that this year?
