Western Kentucky Top 10 (Small Schools)

Featured Replies

We haven't had one of these this year. I guess I will take it on. Vote for your top 10 small schools in WKY. Teams eligible are:

Ballard Memorial, Crittenden County, Fulton City, Fulton County, Mayfield, Caverna, Caldwell County, Heath, Murray, Reidland, Trigg County, Fort Campbell, Hancock County, Owensboro Catholic, Todd County Central, Glasgow, Metcalfe County, Monroe County, McLean County, Muhlenberg South, Paducah Tilghman, Union County, Webster County, Adair County, Butler County, Edmonson County, Hart County, Russellville

I will not take a chance of showing my ignorance of the Western Ky schools and posting a top ten...:D

I do look forward to what others have to say. I am always wanting to learn more about the teams in the Western part of the state.

1-3A = small schools

4-6A = large schools

And I think PT is at the low end of 3-a enrollment.

Since you brought up WKY state championships, can someone answer why Hopkinsville had to vacate the 1997 championship?

Hopkinsville didn't win the state title ... they lost in the state championship game.

The runner-up finish was voided after it was discovered that Artose Pinner was too old to be eligible under KHSAA rules.

Is Green County in or out? That would change my vote considerably ...
