No matter what the level, Frosh, JV, or Varsity; this is always a game. I am just as worked up about this one as last week's against NCC. I think Cov Cath will bring it. I just hope that Carter and the boys will give them a NEW appreciation for the game. Sorry for the PUN, couldn't help it.

Actually I must have posted in the wrong thread. I was talking about the other side of the street on Dixie Hwy.

Highlands, True willbe a challenge to any Freshman team. He will likely get JV time, if not already.

True DAT! If I heard it once, I heard it 20 times from KN-frosh announcer at the NCC game, "New to True for a big Bluebird gain." I think those two will be pretty special players in the years to come. True most definitely should get some JV time and even some Varsity time at the end of the year. That kid is a stud. He stands above all those other boys out there on the field. He has speed, agility, and plenty of size to go with it! Man I love Highlands Football! How do you not get excited watching the talent poor in year after year?

After watching the NCC vs HHS Fresh game. I think the whole HHS TEAM looks great.

They have a great line with size and experience.

Cov Cath has large line as well. Cov Cath 21-14

HHS by 2 scores..To much speed and depth at the skilled positions. GO BABY BIRDS!!

I heard they did not look that great against New Cath

Birds started out slow but by 3rd qtr they got the train rolling. Between the tackles they did whatever they wanted. It was their first game. ONly area I saw where they struggled was in the secondary but Im sure coaches addressed that this week.

Yes I heard their secondary was a bit suspect. I know they are coached well over there. Should be a great game. CCH controlled the line of scrimmage as well. I'm looking forward to it.

Maybe I was at a different game, but the HHS secondary looked pretty good to me. NCC completed one pass that should have been knocked down by HHS right corner but was caught late in the game. However, Towles intercepted the ball on either the next play or a couple of plays later to seal the game, not to mention he made a couple of big hits. The secondary also contained NCC, nobody got outside on running plays.

I dont doubt the plays you speak of but I think you may have been getting a hot dog while Andy Miller was throwing deep balls on both sides of the field. Or maybe you missed the 2pt conversion where the guy wasnt even close. Not that big of a deal, they have speed at the corner and as soon as they get adjusted to playing they will be fine. Towles did have a very nice game at Safety. Run support was good on the corners.

I have watched the tape of the game several times. On the 2 point conversion it had nothing to do with the secondary, that was the linebackers assignment, it was his man in a zone defense on the short route, not the secondary. NCC had some good runs in the game and completed some good passes. Bottom line, they only scored one touchdown.
