We all know Bell doesn't commit penalties on Log Mt.......

You know, I was amazed when I heard that stat......In the course of a game you never really pay attention to that, but it IS truely amazing that any team can go that long without a penalty, that will serve them well this year when they have 7 or 8 home games.;);)

As far as the rest of the Colonels schedule, well Letcher is going to be good along with Clay, but outside the district Wofford will be a hand full.

Yeah I guess Corbin will never find that out anymore since they won't play Bell. At least WC isn't afraid to get better.:flame:

Whitley showed they can beat lesser opponents, and this was the first real test. I did not think Whitley would win this game, but I felt they could hang in there defensively. Look for Whitley to rebound, and be really impressive from here on out. There are not to many teams that can hang in there with Bell Co. With the District they are in, they should still be favored to win the district.

:lol:That is funny. Hounds. Hmm Must be Corbin. Come on down. Let's play.

From the stats in the paper sounds as if WC threw the ball well for some pretty decent numbers but just could not cash in once in the red zone. Bell's defense continues to be suspect after a dominating season last year. Sounds if they have some real weaknesses at the DB postion.

I would suspect that the Bobcats are like most area teams and are not playing their best DB's til the competition gets tougher. I think once the post season rolls around you will see some familar names going both ways for the Bobcats. Til then they are trying to play alot of kids, develop depth and protect some players from potential injuries. If they were going up against South Laurel I think you would see the above mentioned changes.

No not any weaknesses just their just getting kids ready to play thru the long season. Bell Co DB's will be ready when the time comes unlike NL Fri against SL.

Bell still has a long ways to go defensively. Obviously they lost some good players from last year, but I thought theyd be a little stronger. They aren't giving up points, but they are giving up too many yards. That could hurt them down the road if they don't do better. Which I believe they will.

Who are they getting them ready for Madison Southern and McCreary? No offense to those teams but I would have thought Whitley would have been a big game for Bell to get ready for. Those other teams on the schedule are not going to challenge Bell in any phase of the game.

Who is playing in the secondary for Bell? The one highlight I saw was Zachary playing safety and being totally out of position on a long pass.

We would love to play North or South.

Well, the Bell Co. corners last year were Zachery, and Raines, this game the two starting corners were freshman Cory Davenport, and Raines with Zachery at safety. Soph. Ben Madon saw some time at safety also, I think once the kids settle in and get nerves out of the way, the Bell Co. DB's will most likely be Raines and Zachery, who is pretty much shutdown as a corner, with Madon or safety. Cory Davenport played well though, he could end up being the starter with Zachery staying at safety but, most of the long yardage passes were screen passes or the receivers making a move after the reception, not necessarily Bell Co. being out of position and just completely dumbfounded by a ball flying through the air, Whitley has some athletic kids at receiver that can make you miss.

There is one thing about it Bell will be there at the end when the others are at the house. I have saw some Bell Co kids wearing some shirts that say that "people hate us cause they aint us" so I guess the saying goes for you as well. I will say by the end of the season Bell Co DB will be ready for any challenge that lies ahead. Bell would love to play people like NL or SL I believe they have even tried to get into their bowl game next year but they won't let that happen.
