I put a whole lot less emphasis on the people Obama has encountered over the years than what he says he wants to do. Every politician has strange associations if you dig deeply enough. My problem is that a lot of what Obama says he wants to do has very strong socialistic underpinnings IMO.

I am not a diplomat and I am not a politician. I have no desire to be either. Anybody who casts a vote based on what some guy posts on a high school sports site is a fool, so I do not expect Obama will pick up many votes on account of anything that I say here.

 

Then what's the point? I come to here to learn and strengthen my political views, as well as see the other side.

 

I believe that our country would benefit greatly from a lot of the views that I hold (as I am sure most everyone on here does). If I can convince one person a little bit to vote for conservative candidates, then I have done well.

My guess is that analysis requires a genuine depth of knowledge, a good bit of work or both.

Whether or not there is anything to this or not with the way that I see it (and think that it is fairly obvious) is that with some of the clowns that Obama has associated with and surrounded himself with for years and years should throw up enough warning signs to any American.

He has been associated with known/obvious Racist for over 20 years (the Rev. Wright and I forgot that other idiot's rev.'s name).

Members of his family have made statements like they had never been proud of this country until now(or the equvilent).

He has ran part of his campaign in France. I still think that he identifies with the French's mindset of "cut and run" better than our country.

He wants to sit down and negotioate/talk with known terrorist that by the way want to kill us and destroy Israel.

 

These are just a very few reasons. There are more but I am not going to bother listing them, if there is a limit on the length of a bgp post, to list all would surely violate it :lol:.

 

No, I don't need this report to justify not voting for this guy :thumb:. Senator Barock Hussein Obama has given plenty of reason with his history and that of the ones he has been close to most of his adult life.

So do I FB, but many people are beginning to see a candidate promising to take a company's excess profits and put them to a better use as something other than a socialist concept. Obama's past associations help explain where such ideas may have roots.

Our government already gouges corporations. A company's profits are the company's property, not Robin Hood Obama or his version of government... which IMO is socialistic. Sure there are some greedy execs in many companies that need to be reeled in, but a company is primarily made up of individual investors like us. Obama taking what he deems as "excess profits" from a company is literally taking money from the people who own the company... it's investors. People don't want to risk investing their hard earned income with companies that can't provide a return on investment. Without investors, companies can't grow or stay in business. Obama's plan to take more money from those working hard, risking loss and building this country to give it to those who don't or won't, will crumble our economy faster than anything we've ever known.

 

For the record, I have no problem assisting individuals whose life circumstances have rendered them incapable of doing for themselves. I have a huge problem funding individuals too lazy to apply themselves, or too irresponsible to provide for themselves and their families.

 

I'm leaning toward ScooterBob's proposal to restrict voting rights to U.S. citizens who actually pay state or federal income taxes... even one dollar a year. Those who don't actually contribute toward funding government, shouldn't have an equal voice in how government pays them. There's no corporation in the world that provides voting rights on company issues to individuals that do not own stock in that company, or those who vote with their pocketbooks by buying that company's products or services.

:thumb: Exactly. Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it. Too many voters are williing to accept promises from candidates at face value without holding them accountable for their records.

That's a lame excuse I'm weary of hearing. When the republicans start to endorse legislation that will slow down the economy and restrict opportunities for average folks to work their butts off and become (or at least have the hope to become) wealthy some day I'll concede your point. Otherwise, it's not the republicans attempting to limit the number of people currently climbing the ladder.

 

For the record, I've never had a poor man offer me a job with pay that was worth the effort of doing it, not to mention benefits and bonuses. You get rid of rich guys, you get rid of jobs and opportunities... you get Cuba and China... :sssh:

Well first of all, where have all the rich guys gone, because in case you haven't noticed, there are no jobs and opportunities in the U.S. any more, and what's wrong with China? They're economy is off the roof.
