Are you talking about me? I'm still a little upset about last season, the poll was wrong, but they are doing much better this year.

 

Me too. We were both quoted. Maybe they will quote us for taking up for the poll this year. And, you are right, what are doing putting out a poll that everyone in the area agrees with, the nerve.

 

Hey, I wasn't quoted in the paper on that but if you remember rght, there was a thread last season on what to name the "Raceland/Russell" game as a bowl game. I submitted ....."the Rail Cities Bowl" and guess what it was called :sssh:. Did oldrambler get any credit? Noooooooo. That's o.k. though, I have the satisfaction of whoever came up with ths name (and I have good idea it involved a certain sporting goods store:D, maybe not though) that they stole it from the oldrambler on BGP but their "proud" self would never admit it. :jump:

 

Come to think of it, maybe BGP could get whoever claimed to name this on a copyright infringement. (lol)

As for the bolded, you are 100% right. When the super 7 advances us in the district or playoffs, then I will take it seriously . That poll is opinions just like the ones on here. I don't have a problem with it, just use it for maybe some converation, nothing more....nothing less.

It could work though if Ram set up so certain people who follow those schools could vote on it like a AP Poll. Like pick 10-15 rabid posters that post the most about the games have them each send in their Top 5 by Monday morning and then score each team based on their average spot in the polls. The team with lowest average score (meaning they were ranked the highest) would be #1 and so on. I think that would be pretty cool.

You should do it as you proposed, have a set number of BGP members PM you a top 5 or top 10 each week and compile the results and post them weekly. It would be a pretty cool thing.

 

It might even catch on and people from each region in the state might follow suit and we could have multiple regional top 10 each week.

OK, I think there is 14 schools in North-Eastern Kentucky, I would say have one voter per school. But, we know that their is not a representative from each school on BGP. I am pretty sure of members from each of the following:

Ashland

Boyd County

Fairview

Raceland

Russell

Greenup County

Lawrence County

East Carter

West Carter

Rowan County

Johnson Central

Morgan County

Paintsville

 

Magoffin County is the only school that I can't think of a member for. There may be one, but I can't think of a specific person.

 

I will start a thread and each school can vote on a representative.

In most part the list is just fine. I do find it interesting that Ashland even made the list at all. Correct me if I'm wrong, but they were not on the list at the end of the 2007 regular season because they were not a very good football team who only won 2 games. So what have they done to even get on the list? Please help me with this one.

They did take a very tough Rams team into OT.
