August 30, 200818 yr Seems the Republican VP pick may have some problems at home in Alaska. Surprised the McCain Camp didn't see this, or maybe they did and didn't think it would matter. Link http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/26458400/
August 30, 200818 yr I HOPE the Democrats push this issue as it will push female undecided voters even more away from them. Seems the guy was pretty much a scum and the women voters will have wished they could taser this guy themselves and applaud the Palin supporter who called about him being fired. The state trooper threatened to kill his wife's (and Palin's) father, tasered his stepson (Palin's nephew) and broke some other game laws. Women will eat it up that he wasn't going to get away with being a jerk. I hope the Democrats push this issue.

Link http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/26458400/ Old news. The McCain campaign is very aware of the investigation. MSNBC is not a real news network, it is an extension of the Obama campaign. Ed Rendell is right, the network's work on behalf of Obama is embarrassing.
August 30, 200818 yr Author Old news. The McCain campaign is very aware of the investigation. MSNBC is not a real news network, it is an extension of the Obama campaign. Ed Rendell is right, the network's work on behalf of Obama is embarrassing. This article didn't appear to be slanted to me, it presented the problems with the trooper, (no denying he looks to be a loser) and the potential problems with Palin. The Gov got the headline because of the VP pick. There is an investigation going on, isn't there?

The Gov got the headline because of the VP pick. There is an investigation going on, isn't there?12 hours after Palin was named as McCain's running mate, MSNBC ran this hit piece, hosted by an MSNBC VP. The same VP claimed a few days ago that Keith Olbermann plays it "straight" when he is behind the anchor desk. As I said, MSNBC is a tool of the Obama campaign and many Democrats agree with me.
August 30, 200818 yr Old news. The McCain campaign is very aware of the investigation. MSNBC is not a real news network, it is an extension of the Obama campaign. Ed Rendell is right, the network's work on behalf of Obama is embarrassing. FoxNews is an extension of the Republican party. That's one of the many problems in this country, everyone has an agenda and it's rare to find a news source on TV that isn't pushing an angle. Very sad and frustrating. In sticking with the thread topic, the Mccain camp is well aware of her "alleged" wrong doing. They are grasping at straws with this VP pick.
August 30, 200818 yr FoxNews is an extension of the Republican party. That's one of the many problems in this country, everyone has an agenda and it's rare to find a news source on TV that isn't pushing an angle. Very sad and frustrating. Fox News is a center-right network and CNN is a center-left network. MSNBC is an Obama network. NBC and MSNBC's biased coverage probably cost Hillary Clinton her party's nomination.
August 30, 200818 yr If Palin's ex brother in law is a dirt bag then there is a way to handle it through the courts, not by abusing the power of your office as govenor. Besides, these accusations are very old and did not come into play until the custody hearing....so I have to believe they are trumped up charges on the trooper so her sister could get custody of her kids. Is this how she rolls? Hard to campaign from a jail cell.

Is this how she rolls? Hard to campaign from a jail cell. You could have saved the state of Alaska $100,000. Just toss the accused into the slammer. While we're at it, why do't week toss Obama into jail for the real estate deal with Rezko. Who needs a stinkin' investigation, indictment, or trial?
August 30, 200818 yr Obama's housing deal was looked at under a microscope and no wrong doing found. Palin's is still undr investigation. Let's let the investigation run it's course, then we can decide if Johnny stepped in it.
August 31, 200818 yr I HOPE the Democrats push this issue as it will push female undecided voters even more away from them. Seems the guy was pretty much a scum and the women voters will have wished they could taser this guy themselves and applaud the Palin supporter who called about him being fired. Women will eat it up that he wasn't going to get away with being a jerk. I hope the Democrats push this issue. The problem isn't the dead-beat trooper but the way it was handled. Were normal, legal means pursued? If so, why was she using the back-door, shady method of dealing with state personnel? Realistically, it is going to be a non-issue, this investigation was well known prior to her being chosen and was a non-issue then.
August 31, 200818 yr FoxNews is an extension of the Republican party. There was recently a post on here somewhere that showed Fox has pretty comparable coverage of events to CNN. They were both in the 50 percentage range of the fair and balanced reporting. NBC was very much skewered to covering Obama postively. I also read an article this week that Fox has a company policy when discussing an issue they shows MUST have a guest representing each side of the issue. The others don't have that policy and routinely only give one side of the issue. While watching NBC on Friday, one of the male talking heads, questioned whether Palin could truly be a mother to her Downs Syndrome child while running for VP. A female reporter quickly asked him whether he would ask the same question if she was male AND whether he questioned Obama's ability to be a father to his two daughters. He sidestepped those retorts.
August 31, 200818 yr Was the allegation against the trooper ever proven? I haven't had time to look. Some were. He was suspended but not fired.
August 31, 200818 yr From what I understand, Palin isn't really acting as if she has anything to hide- there have been no subpoenas because she has complied with everything requested of her.
