August 31, 200818 yr Will Pettrey ever get the kicking job? Pettry has the kicking job as far as the kickoff's go. He is listed #1 on the depth chart on the kickoff and #2 behind Petorious on the FG's. I think that at one time I heard that Petorious was te more accurate of the two and Pettry had the most distance, not sure. Both can flat out kick a football.
August 31, 200818 yr I have been hearing rumors of turf toe and he is doubtful for next week... I don't think that I would play him next week regardless, the Buckeyes have USC in two weeks and I would want him ready for that one.

August 31, 200818 yr I just was watching the "Buckeye replay" show along with "Buckeye football Weekly" with Coach J. Tressel. Ryan Petorious was named the "O" player of the game with his 4/4 fg's with a long of 51yds. (which I somehow misquoted earlier that he had missed a couple, another o.r. brain fart:D). On another note on the kicking game, Aaron Pettry's 54 yd. fg in this game was recorded as the 2nd longest fg in Ohio State football history. Coach Tressel noted on his show that Aaron was going to be an outstandinG fg kicker for them and is doing a good job in handling the kickoff duties for them now. Congrats to Aaron, he is a Raceland,Ky. native and former Raceland standout and a great kid from a great family. Aaron also holds the Ky. State High School FG record with one at 58yds.. Another State record Aaron holds is his 71.3 pass completion pct. as a qb at Raceland. He is ahead of Brian Brohm's 2nd place 65+ pct.. Does not appear to have a break in any bones, but he is still complaining about the front of his foot. From what I heard he was on the ground screaming "I broke it, I broke it." Terrelle Pryor and other OSU are saying he is "fine" but that holds little water. We will find out the truth soon.

I heard on espn this evening that he would have the MRI, then treatment and they would evaluate things again after that. Wells said that he had heard something "pop". If the x-rays were negative on any breaks then the MRI will show what is damaged.

GO BUCKS!!! That kick was a thing of beauty. It would have been good from 70yds. (Anncr comments, not mine) (It hit half way up the catch net behind the goal post. It looked more like a PAT. Bucks looked good, lets hope Beanie is OK for USC.
