I talked to someone in the know that told me Holy Cross beat Conner 28 to 23 with the first group. He told me Holy Cross has a real nice team and Conner had a few players out.

Markel Walker looked very good and so did the entire "O". Big upgrade from last year for the Indians.

Pretty solid for being the first scrimmage.

Good solid scrimmage from both teams. HC just made a few tough Defensive stands and had 4 very good long TD drives. Any doubts on if Roenker and Walker at RB and QB were put to rest, both looked very crisp.

Also the Indians "D" may have taken a hit. MLB Brad Herald left the game with a foot injury, and is going to have an x-ray on Monday.

I wouldn't say dominating. Conner moved the ball effectively when MLB Brad Herald left the game. Conner's D didn't have an answer for HC. They didn't punt once if I recall.

Effective, yes, dominating, not at all. HC fumbled the opening kickoff in a fluke so Conner scored from only 25 yards out, they only put up 17 points the rest of the way, no, not dominating. You can't be dominating a game when your only up by 3 with a few minutes left. As I said earlier HC went on four good drives and capped it off with the fade. Hope all is well with MLB Brad Herald a good player and important presence in the middle for HC. :thumb:

From what I saw Hc after the first quarter were the ones dominating with Conner having to punt three or four times. Also Brad Herald is going to be missed most deffinately with the D tackles also not being very experienced, at least not on the defensive side of the ball.

What happened to Herald. Hate to hear that he might be out for awhile. Great kid but an even better mascot for our summer baseball team.

Getting a MRI Monday and they are going from there. If Herald is out for awhile either Conrad Eastin or Jordan Gross will fill in.

I heard from a Conner dad that Conner had all they wanted from HC. Can someone explain how one of the bigger schools (Conner) can be so average, at best, over the last 20 years? They had two real nice regular seasons a few years ago but overall average with over a 1000 kids year in and year out.
