Right now people in HC nation are praying Ryle transfer Jordan Gross is allowed to play with the injury to Herald, that could be a big loss it moves the Defense into a major shift.

Any one stepping up to take Brad Herald's spot. Seems like extremely big shoes to fill seeing in the paper he was the leading tackler returning to NKY.:cry:

Yeah they will not be able to replace Herald, but he will be out for awhile and maybe for NCC. Someone will need to do something.

I thought I heard Eastin may step in and play some LB... any truth to that?

He could, Eastin knows the defense well and is a great leader.

Prayers anwsered, Gross is eligible as of our season opener. Today he ran half and half at MLB and looks to start there in Herald's absence. Eastin will be staying at OLB, he is to valube in the pass coverage to move inside. It should be interesting to see if Herald can be back in time for NCC. Once he is back watch for this defense, I know I'm biased but even with no Herald or Gross and Eastin going both ways as well as backup MLB Chad Thornberry going both ways after Heralds injury this defense stopped 5A Conner after the opening kickoff fumble.
