Holy Cross (Covington) 2008/2009

Featured Replies

I think Beechwood will be pretty solid this year again. I think just based on returning players I would give them the edge over HC.

Holy Cross returns 4 starters.

Giwa has been working on his shot a lot and he will surprise most teams with his outside game

I hope so, if he can add that to his game hes a solid college recruit.

They're missing Sorrel. I don't know if they will compete with some teams that they contended with last year without him.

Is there any good sophomores at Holy Cross?

I think they will. As I said before, they will be playing as a team this year not a one man show.

3, Junior Andy Roenker has decieded to hang up the Jersey to focus on Football and Baseball. Also returning 2 guard Conrad Eastin can carry this team when he is hot. Also plays defense with great intensity. Will it be enough to beat Beechwood? Idk, should be a great game. :thumb:

Smart move on Andy's part. He can use the rest . He's going to need it based on how his high school coach likes to use him.

Very smart, I hear there going to try to get somewhere between 150 and 200 innings out of him this year as a starter.

Eastin is a very nice player on both sides. He has a great basketball IQ and also has great leadership and as dothework said can carry this team when he is hot.

This team is better than most think. There aren't many people that will gaurd Shina. They have outside shooting, and three post players that will hold thier own. Brian Volpenhein 6'3", Mike Sullivan 6'3", and Keith Egan 6'2". I don't see Beechwood beating this team.

Smart move for Andy I hope it all works for him. Very nice young man.
