May 28, 200917 yr Author "Galway Girl" by Steve Earle Pulled the great "Transcendental Blues" album out of the archives for listening while at work. I forgot how excellent this album is. A buddy of mine once said, "When I die, you have to make sure they play this album over and over again at my funeral." It was in response to the cringing we did while at another friend's funeral, where the selection was some abortion from Creed on continuous loop. :puke:

Everybody in my family loves him (wife, son and I anyway, ... my daughter is into the Jonas Bros so this is not her cup of tea so much). After listening to him all those years ago, it made me step up my efforts on songwriting. I thought 'Man, that's the way songs ought to be written'. "Billy Austin" still sends chills up my spine to this day.

May 29, 200917 yr The last song I listened to was "Sunday Girl" by Blondie. Almost walked around the block again to hear it again.
