Can we truly bash a coach before he's had a chance to succeed or fail?

 

Who's bashing? Read the text from the entire thread and you will see that this is a question in regards to a 6A school taking a leap of faith on an unknown comodity, not an individual attack on anyone!

Bad hire in my opinion and the Rebels will find out sooner than later.

I wonder if Beechwoods coach loses sleep at night trying to figure a way for that 1a school to compete with the almighty 6a teams?

I just question the judgement of a coach that holds a mandatory practice during another sport. To be honest, I have never heard of any situation like that. What would happen if the starting poing guard takes one off the hand a breaks something or vice versa, in April, your ace turns an ankle playing hoops.

 

To win any games at a school with around 30 boys is quite an achievement, let alone 15 or 20 games a season a few times. I commend him for that, but feel he made a few bad decisions at the same time.

I remember a mandatory meeting, but not a practice.

As far as experience, Wayne has probably over 15 years of coaching experience including the last 7 or 8 years as a head coach. I believe he has plenty of experiece. If there is any baseball talent at Boone, they will win games. If there is little talent but he has some PITCHING, then he should at least be in games!!!

 

I think Boone made a really nice choice. Coach Huff is going to surprise some people.

:lol: Looks like Coach Huff and his assistance's (in their second year):laugh: have done something special. 50 wins in two years (and still counting) a district championship and a regional championship:banana: is not to bad IMO. I didn't know what to expect when they hired you on to be the coach here at Boone but thank you for your hard work and dedication to this program. Keep it going Rebels. Being a former Boone County player I am very pleased with coach Huff. Congrats Rebels take it all the way!!!!!!!
