Scoping is legit,but I am sure thats going to be a pretty penny. I know when you love an animal, there is not cost that will stop you though. But at least they aren't just doing an x ray if she needs to be scoped. Bummer that its taking so long. Kinda makes me wonder that if the DR knew Molly was there, that he might check on her and scope in between surgeries or something, and miss thang at the desk wants to go home so shes not telling him. HOW RUDE. Hang in there.

Miss Thang needs a good talking to and I'd love to be there to do it. People like that just makes me so darn mad. I fired a really good clerk once becaues she was so rude to a client. I don't care who you are dealing with you make that person feels as if they are the most important person there. Of course I know that doesn't happen in most/lots of places but it was the one thing that I would really get ticked about if one of my clerks didn't do that.

Another thing, are there no nurses at your vet? Our vet has techs that "triage" for the actual vets.

 

NO....this is just a vet and he has helpers...I think I am going to call the animal hospital again.....I just called and he has not seen her yet because he is still doing surgeries. I am so upset and really don't know what to do. He knows her, but, if I can get her into the animal hospital, I think I will take her.

I am going to call again and see where they are....if he is very far away from seeing her, I am going to call the animal hospital....grrrrr

GRRRR everyone I called said it would be best to leave her there because that is her reg vet and she is already there. The pet hospital said they could see her at 4pm, however, because I am not a reg customer, they would have to do a complete checkup...I asked how much that would be...200 dollars! EEK.....then, to treat her, they don't know until they know what is wrong.

 

I called and Rosie (the witche's name) was nicer. She said the vet is on the second to the last surgery right now, then it will be Molly. She said she thought he was just about done with this surgery....so, maybe soon!!! I miss her sooooo much! More importantly, I am really worried. She said they had a vet student in there with Molly right now for her internship. She said she is one on one with her...that made me feel a little better...

OK guys, we got Molly back home. She had a very small piece of hard, white plastic stuck in there....he said she was coughing more to try to get rid of it than anything else. He gave her some med for irritiation and that was that. He said he had a lot of people unhappy with Rosie today. So, he said that he would take care of that situation.

 

But, Molly is fine and has only coughed once since she has been home...probably from the irritation! Wonder where she got that plasic at....might have picked it up from outside? Anyway, thank you all so much for prayers and concern!!!!! Everything is fine and dandy once again! WHEW!!! (OH, cost with med and all was 100 dollars....He told me to pay 50 today and 50 next month....everything worked out!!!)

AWESOME I am so glad everything turned out ok and that Rosie will be dealt with.

She just ate and had some water and did not choke or cough!!! Thank goodness. And as far as Rosie, I am really happy that I did not take Molly back home like she wanted me to. I think you all are correct, I think she is going to be gone! I really do hate to see anyone lose their job, but, you just can not treat people like that. The vet told me if he had know that Molly had been there that long, he would have looked at her. He said she must not have been very comfortable with that plastic in her throat....I know she wasn't.

Hey Mrs. PH, if you dont mind me asking.. what vet did you send her too? I'm in Glasgow, but i've never had to take a pet to the vet yet. I myself own 3 hamsters, a cat and a dog (i'm quite the diverse animal lover).. I would do anything for these pets to give them the comfort they deserve. I'm glad your dog is better!
