Other than your favorite team winning...

... what ONE or TWO things would you like to see happen this year in KY prep football??? (Please, make it something positive and not something like seeing your most hated rival team go 0-10.)

For me, I will say two things...

1. I hope that Holmes does well this year. They missed the playoffs last year, playing in a tough district with Highlands, CovCath, Dixie Heights and Scott. I wish the best for Holmes' coach and I know that this coaching job is a difficult one to handle.

2. I hope that Bell County wins 4A this year. I like it when EKY teams do well in football, given the rich history of prep football in that part of the state. Now that Bell County is no longer competing with Highlands, I can feel free to cheer them on to a state title! They came up just a bit short last year.

Wow, only one or two!

Well, to start:

1) I'd like to see Grayson County make the playoffs and make it to at least the 2nd round.

2) I'd like to see Atherton, Iroquois, Western and Shawnee have some success this season.

2a) (since I can't have more than 2, I'll cheat :D) I'd like to see Central duplicate their success of last year.

OK... it doesn't HAVE to be just one or two things...!

1. I want to see Brossart become a successful program. Everyone that I have encountered from Brossart has been a very nice person to me and I only want to see them succeed.

1. I would love to see Greenup, the county of, have three district champions (Raceland, Russell, and Greenup Co).

2. I would like to see a several State Champions from East of Lexington.

I would love to see Lou. Central repeat...I would also like to see Ballard return to a real player in football.

I would like to see a South Eastern Kentucky team win a title...i.e Breathitt, Bell, Belfry etc.

1. I would like to see Carroll County reverse the "slip" that their program has experienced the past couple of seasons.

2. I would like to see Grant Co make and have success in the playoffs.

1. I'd like to see all three class A Floyd County teams (Allen Central, Betsy Layne, and South Floyd) goto the class A district 8 playoffs.

2. See Hazard & Belfry win a state championship in their respected classes.

1A Hazard

2A Pburg

4A Anyone besides LexCath

5A Impartial

6A Impartial

I would like to see a 6A championship from a school not from Louisville.

Note: I have no problem with Louisville schools and am a fan of keeping private/publics playing together, etc. BUT, I just think it would be a neat "cinderella like" story if a non-louisville team could pull it off.

1. Hazard winning the 1A state championship (my dad played there).

2. Bourbon Co. to get back on the right track.

3. Butler rebounds and has a nice season, Coach Carmony's a nice guy.

I would like to see either Williamsburg or Lynn Camp make it to Louisville to play for the 1A title.

I'd like to see Atherton do well.

I'd like to see Ballard improve.

I'd like to see a Louisville 1A or 2A team get to the championship game.

I'd like to attend the Bethlehem-Bardstown game (I've wanted to for years).

1. See Breathitt challenger for a state title.

2. See Hazard win the 1A title.
