July 10, 200818 yr Why is it so easy to believe the prosecuter in the Duke Lacrosse players rape case had it wrong, but not in this case? It's been 10 years and there's been no conclusive evidence that the family did it. Now, there's conclusive evidence the family didn't do it, and apparently, the public still thinks their guilty. No, it doesn't prove that they didn't have something to do with it, but there's no proof they did. What happened to "innocent until proven guilty"? Isn't this America? You make some good points here RM and I can see where you came up with that opinion. I just can't help but believe that the Ramsey's money had something if not everything to do with a coverup on this one. To me there is nothing adding up and all of a sudden this report and still no answers other than clearing the Ramsey's just doesn't make sense. Maybe so though, I just believe in the age old saying........"Money talks and well.......you know what walks".
July 10, 200818 yr You, RM, and UK should be very concerned about your reputations. I could be in worse company.
July 10, 200818 yr For the record, I will have to say that I was really shocked that the DNA came back like it did. If this family did not do the crime, I am sorry for their loss and heartache. I will say that, seeing this on the news, my gut feeling says that did it. I always thought the brother did it out of jealously. Look at how much attention this child got. It must have been hard for him to live up to that. The child was in the basement (if memory serves me correctly) and the family did not know her body was there? Something feels fishy. I have always gone with my gut feeling and it has never let me down. I am not saying that I am right on this, however, my gut is really telling me that someone in the family knew something. :thumb::thumb:
July 10, 200818 yr It's kind of ironic how we villify the media as regards the political spectrum as regarding sensationalism and misleading us...but on in issue like this, we take their implications and run with them. For me, I never listen to the media. I have a mind of my own and I make up my own mind. The media can do a lot of harm or good depending on the story and how they want it to go for the sake of people watching their station and no other.
July 10, 200818 yr What does the family (the dad and brother) really have to gain by being cleared now? They have already been convicted in the court of public opinion and obviously most people aren't going to change their minds. It neither of them had anything to do with the crime, they will still live out the rest of their lives under that dark cloud of public sentiment. It seems to me that they would prefer that NOTHING be said about it and let time begin to heal the wounds. The only thing really to be gained here is that IF (as I believe) an outside perpetrator did it, they now have more of a DNA profile to work with and maybe someday he will be caught. Then the family can truly be cleared and justice finally be served.

Ok...but how did you get any details on the case without listening to the media?
July 10, 200818 yr This raises an interesting question....What do you do if you're the parents and you know your son did it? Do you try to protect him, or do you cooperate with the investigation? If the Parents knew their son did it then I believe they would try and protect him because it helps protect a family image if they do it right. I dunno though.
July 10, 200818 yr I didn't say the family committed the murder but they had to have been involved in some way. How do you not know you're daughter's body is in the basement? I mean really guys, a girl at the age and the high profile she had you know they'd be keeping a close eye on her to make sure nothing happened. I just think the whole thing seems a little fishy and I honestly believe that this case was messed up as soon as it started..Only 3 people will ever fully know the truth of what happened (God, JonBenet, and who done it).
July 10, 200818 yr Ok...but how did you get any details on the case without listening to the media? Yes. I can not say how or when because it has to do with a special project I was doing for someone. I went on my counseling skills, not the evidence. I did see the interviews on television, however, came to my own conclusion. A person can do that if they use their own mind and not listen to the media. You can see with your own eyes, hear with your own ears etc. Besides, there are just "facts" in this case that don't jive with me.

Keep in mind, the media doesn't have to give you all the "facts," just the ones that support their own sensational take on the issue. You can arrive at your own conclusion based on what they give you, not all the evidence. That's hardly a complete picture.

In a very large house it can happen. I've been in the basement of homes in Indian Hill that were absolutely like a maize. I believe she was found even after a police search of the house, wasn't she?
July 10, 200818 yr I think a lot of people think something is sinister because of all the attention that was put on JonBenet being a child beauty pagent-er (not the right word, but you know what I mean). A lot of people judged Patsy for "using" her daughter like that. I'm not saying it was right. But that doesn't make her a murderer, nor does it mean she worked with someone to have her daughter murdered. I don't think she was necessarily murdered. I've always believed it may have been some kind of preventable accident that would be embarrassing to the family.
