Totally, different thread, but my view is that we will perfectly understand that they are where they chose to be and will not be saddened by the choice they CHOSE to make.

Here is why I don't care for these conversations (and it's okay that some do). We lose focus on the purpose of our being in heaven. We are there to praise God and be in his presence. That is the focus. It's not to see Dad or Mom again or to acquire real estate in a kingdom. If we keep the focus, the other will take care of itself. If we are doing the kingdom work with the "rewards" idea in our minds, then I think we miss the point of serving out of love for God; nothing more and nothing less.

Couldn't one use the same argument for the rewards issue?

 

One could argue that there is no regret or jealousy that others may have received a different or better reward. There is just the joy of being in heaven with God.

What's the explanation for this passage? It seems to me it would have to contradict at least one idea in this thread.

 

1 Corinthians 3:9-15 For we are God's fellow workers; you are God's field, you are God's building. According to the grace of God which was given to me, as a wise master builder I have laid the foundation, and another builds on it. But let each on take heed how he builds on it. For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. I do think you have to be careful in what you have said.

 

But with the right mindset, I think you can discuss this issue without losing sight that Heaven is first and foremost about God.

All of your family and loves ones are in Heaven and you get to spend a lifetime with them.

 

Mine are not.

 

Is Heaven an equal place for both of us?

 

The same day the Sadducees, who say there is no resurrection, came to Him and asked Him, 24 saying: “Teacher, Moses said that if a man dies, having no children, his brother shall marry his wife and raise up offspring for his brother. 25 Now there were with us seven brothers. The first died after he had married, and having no offspring, left his wife to his brother. 26 Likewise the second also, and the third, even to the seventh. 27 Last of all the woman died also. 28 Therefore, in the resurrection, whose wife of the seven will she be? For they all had her.”

Jesus was asked a question about which man would be this woman's husband in heaven. His answer indicates that physical family relationships on this earth such as husband/wife do not carry over into heaven. Heaven is a place without crying, sickness, night, or dieing.

My main goal is easy...Bible Study/Bible Talk. Where we all can inject our thoughs and maybe learn some scriptures. I learn from many people on here. And thats for any thread I bring forth on Religion, to talk about scripture and hear/read everyones comments.

 

I don't comment on threads that I feel I can be no value or imput negative comments. I simply stay away. I wish I could do the same for football, but I'm learning, just like a nonbeliever who is on these religion topics.

 

I have several more topics I'll start in the next few weeks, the next one is Musical Instruments, some Churches will not allow any what so ever in a worship service. I debated some preachers on this for years and we never got nowhere.

The "Word" tells us that God is not a respector of person's. It also tells us that we are storing "treasures" up in Heaven where neither moth nor rust will destroy. And thieves will not break in and steal. This is figuratively speaking since there would be no need for gold or silver in Heaven. We will be judged by our actions , our thoughts, our deeds whether they are good or bad. God does say "Vengenance is mine I will repay" . God describes his "bride" as saints. Those in the Bible that has already gone on are considered saints. Paul tells us in II timothy .. Jesus will return with his saints.

 

I believe ..IMO.. since God isn't a respector of persons and we all are storing up spiritual treasures in Heaven our reward will be shared among the fellowship of the saints .. the "Bride" ...IMO....
