Just heard from a neighbor of Donna's mother that she has come out of her coma and is doing much better. I had heard she was in very serious condition after the opperation and the outlook was not good. Looks like all those prayers might be working. Great news.

I remember as kid watching her play for Newport and IMO she is still the most dominating woman player I have ever watched. She could do it all, and I mean she was a true complete player.

More then 30 years later she is still the best player I ever saw come out of NKY. My prayers are with her and her family.

:thumb:Unbelievable player with the ability to do things that were years ahead of her time when it came to playing basketball.

As of yesterday, Donna is doing better but showing signs of her body rejecting the liver. The doctors think that steroids will take care of that problem. She is on quite a bit of medication which make her tired. She has had many visitors and the family yeaterday requested that only immediate family be allowed to see her. You know how Donna is, very respectful, she wants to be awake for all who come. Keep her in your thougths and prayers.

Does anyone know an address that we could send a card to? Thanks.

Does anybody have an update on how Donna is doing?

I saw an update on the news on Thursday evening. It indicated that Donna was progressing well and regaining strength. I don't remember the exact specifics but it was a positive update and I believe that they indicated that she may be getting released soon.

Her family says Murphy has been getting strong in rehab, and may be released soon from the hospital.
