June 23, 200818 yr Best record in Baseball and the Cubs don't deserve anyone on the All Star team? Interesting... In his defense, he only listed his starting lineup also...maybe he has a few Cubbies on the bench, lol.
June 23, 200818 yr The real joke is that Ian Kinsler should be the hands down favorite for 2B in the AL. Pedroia's numbers don't compare. He's crushing him in every category. Although Kinsler is miserable defensively. Dan Uggla and Chase Utley are as close as you can get, I'd consider taking Uggla but it is darn close.

Uggla and Utley are so close offensively, that you have to take defensive to break that tie. That goes to Utley.
June 24, 200818 yr For me: NL: C: McCann (Soto is close thought) 1B: Berkman 2B: Utley (Ulgga is neck and neck + I could see him starting too) SS: H. Rameriz (Tejada could make the argument) 3B: Chipper OF: Braun, Ludwick + McClouth AL: C: Nobody really stands out IMO Variteck or Martinez 1B: Yukillis 2B: Kinsler SS: Guillen 3B: ARod OF: Quinten, Hamilton, Manny Teams like the Rays and DBacks have good young talent that don't get the pub but are really good too.

They will get some pitchers in.
June 24, 200818 yr Yes because ROY should definately be based off of popularity. He's not the favorite for Rookie of the Year because of popularity--he also happens to be really, really good.
June 24, 200818 yr He's not the favorite for Rookie of the Year because of popularity--he also happens to be really, really good. A very productive catcher. He or Fukedome deserves ROY so far this year.
June 25, 200818 yr Consider the All-Star game is about letting the fans see who they want to see, yeah, I think they got it spot on. Great point! Nothing against Ludwick & McClouth, they are having tremendous seasons, but who wants to watch those guys play, honestly?
June 25, 200818 yr Author When home field for the World Series is on the line I could care a less about who the fans want and I would want the best players on the field period!
