As the season approaches I will post a few Bama Football topics. And this is for the Bama fans on BGPs. Of course anyone can read/comment. I promise I'll keep my stats/thoughts to a bear few.

 

We have 7 players who have given their oral commitment. The latest is the number 1 rated running back out of Florida. 6' 0'' 215 lbs. 4.3 40 also number 1 QB in the state and 3rd in the nation.

Kenny Stabler (Snake) just had his third DUI in the last 10 years, and most of Bamanation want him replaced as the colorman with Eli Gold. He is paid by the University so I will not be surprised if this happens. Jay Barker's name is mentioned. I hate this for Snake, but I also hate drinking and driving.

 

We have two more players commit, and I do not like to mention players names on here, but will if someone asks.

I'd love to see Kenny stay, I think he does a great job...but people don't give too many 4th chances.

I hope that Bama can get things rolling again and I think that they will, the SEC is loaded again (as always). I believe that Bama will contend for the West this season and will return to the top of the SEC overall within one or two seasons. :thumb:

At this point kids interested in Bama have a higher ranking than last years # 1 class. We are ahead of last years commitments. Kids from other states are lookin. Snake loves Bama and I heard on the Tidefans site that he only had a glass of wine with his supper, who knows?

^:lol: on Stabler. I think that one could pick either Bama, LSU or Auburn to win the West division this season and it would not be a bad pick.

I wanted to do an "update thread" for the few Bama fans on BGPs, and during the dead period this summer everything I posted has been bad news. Kid wants to go to school and deal in drugs. Coach Bryant once said "we don't want any sorry people around here". This kid was a sorry person and now he is history.

 

We were hurting in the linebacker area and that was why Coach Saban moved him there. Lets get all the bad apples out of here.

Your going to have to do better than that if you expect your team to hold onto the Fulmer Cup. Surely somebody can get on the police blotter.

Media day went real well, I just hope some high school kids get to hear Coach. One thing he said was add the plus-1 game and the money it makes give back to the kids....all kids not just the mens football, girls volleyball etc.

 

Said he still gets it about leaving the Fins, "I wanted to Coach kids and this job became open, I really glad to be back in the SEC".

 

Spoke well of the SEC and the other coaches and even praised the media.

ADD two more kids and both are 4 stars. One is a DB out of Mississippi.

 

16 kids and several 4 stars and there is a DB in Alabama that everybody wants who is ranked #1 and is leaning to Bama.

 

Bama experts on this stuff are saying this class could be better than our top 3class of 08.
