So Bruce alone was going to win SIX more games in 7 weeks? And you want to call others points laughable. Yeah....

How can you not look at the start Bruce has and think they would not have won more with him in the lineup as opposed to Patterson.

How can you think Bruce is going to hit like he has after struggling in Spring Training. Hitters go through slumps, especially rookies. Bruce is hot right now, he'll cool down and heat back up. It's part of the game.

And Patterson will heat up when?

Are you really trying to aruge that MLB players don't go through slumps and hot streaks? Because that is what that comment implies.

No. You said players will heat up, cool down, and heat up. Has Patterson had a hot streak this year? Thats all I'm asking. I guess the better question is this. Look back at the Reds wins and tell me how many of them are the direct result of Corey patterson. In the last 12 games, how many have been the result of Bruce in the lineup? I think Bruce already has more in many fewer games.

Patterson is 2 or his last 36. Thats a pretty cold streak. I'll say that he's had a lot more cold streks this year than hot streaks, but he has had some. After the first 8 games he was hitting .323, thats a pretty good streak if you ask me.

You can't say any of the Reds win since Bruce has been called up are a direct result of him. There's a reason there are nine players on the field at any given time. Patterson started the season .323. Then went into a slump. Then had hits in 6 out of 7 games then went into another slump. After that he was 6-8 and hasn't done much since. So, yes...I would say he has had his share of both kinds of streaks

I'd say the Reds don't win Bruce's first game without him. He also had a walk-off home run. That's two right there.

The first game Bruce played, he scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for a total of 4 runs he helped with. The Reds won 9-6. If the win as you say was a direct result of Bruce then really they would have lost 6-4. Same thing with the second game, the only run he drove in was the walk off home run. Thats a weak argument. Even if he gets on every time, he doesn't score without someone hitting behind him.

Ryan Tucker is pitching for the Marlins. It is his Major Leagut debut. He hasn't pitched above AA.

Phillips ground into DP, he's not hitting well and its hurting the Reds right now
